That Was $300,000 Down The Drain
Christie Brinkley's soon to be ex Peter Cook paid his 18 year old assistant Diane Bianchi $300,000 to keep quiet about the details of the affair. You know. Things like whether Peter took Viagra or liked to watch hamsters run around on their wheels before they had sex. Peter must have been congratulating himself for his brilliant wisdom.
Unfortunately for him, a judge ruled that the divorce proceedings will be public and that nothing will be sealed. What that means is that if you want to head on over to the courtroom, you too can listen in when Diane gets on the stand and talks about what she and Peter did. It is juicy and delicious and it is all thanks to Christie Brinkley. See, she wants to know what happened and wants to make Pete look like a miserable ass so she is more than willing to hear all about the sordid details of the affair as long as it gives her closure and lets her have her revenge at the same time.
Peter was convinced Christie would want to hush it all up. Guess he was wrong. Meanwhile what does an 18 year old assistant spend $300,000 on? There are only so many Hills DVD box sets you can buy.

Why does Ms. Brinkley want her divorce trial open to the public? Why does she want to put her children through this? Who cares, anyway?
I don't know. I might just be mean enough to want it to be public too. She didn't do anything wrong. She has nothing to be ashamed of. As for the kids? Here they are almost never in the court room and the press has already ran with the story anyway. It's better than leaks and speculation. IMO.
But then I'm a bitter and childless woman that handles divorces for a living! Lol - maybe I'm jaded.
I think she's sick of letting men make a horse's ass out of her and this is her ultimate tantrum.

WOO-HOO!!! I say HELL YEAH. I would do the same thing...humiliate him the way he humiliated her. When you are a celebrity nothing is ever private anyway, so the kids would find out at some point. And yes, he will end up looking like the ass that he is. I am off my soap box now.
My feeling is that yes, she wants to humilate him in a public fashion, much the way he humilated her with his affair .. and the fact that this was not the first time he was caught in a dangerous liason with a younger woman .. wasnt there an affair that became public right before they got married? Yet, I guess she thought, like most of us are taught, that her love would be enough for him to change. YEAH RIGHT .. people dont change ..
I'm sure Christie has had God knows what done to herself, Botox, etc., but she looks fantastic. That 18 year old bimbo pales in Christie's shadow looks-wise.

I'd be mad, too....if my boy-toy husband gave his bimbette $300,000 of MY money (cuz you know Petey ain't got none of his own) to shut up. This girl, man...is gonna make out like a bandit. Book deal? More ca$h? Dayum, what's the incentive to live clean and go to college like an honorable person if all it gets you is student loan debt and a dead-end $35,000/year job?!?!?!
I want to know what decent 18 year old starts an affair with a married man of a local celebrity. Also 30 years her senior. Her step-father said she thought Cook could further her music career. However, when it surfaced, she then took $300,000 in hush money from him. I don't think she is that much above Ashley Dupree.
The local papers are making her out as an innocent girl caught up in this. I don't think so.

Why isn't anyone calling her on the fact that she had four failed marriages? Does everyone really believe that she's just a victim of bad taste in men? Give me a break. Her decision to make the divorce public is very selfish, if there's even a chance that her kids will be hurt by the publicity. We all know Peter Cook is a dick. Who cares if he navigates the internet looking for porn? It just proves that underneath the veneer she's just a spiteful bitch.
Innocent, my a$$. This other woman is responsible for what she did. The ex is responsible for what he did. Anything going on in the courts is open to the public unless the judge has ruled that it's closed. I'm sure she'll see to it that her kids will be occupied with other things.
