Anne Hathaway Is Fun?
For those of you have been reading the blog for a long time, you know that Anne Hathaway has not always been one of my favorite people. Therefore it may comes a shock to you that I'm actually going to say some nice things about her. I had not planned to do so and was basically going to ask you how much you would be willing to pay to hang out with Anne for drinks. But, Anne changed my mind. No, she didn't call or e-mail. But, if what she says is true than, I wouldn't mind hanging out with her for a night. It sounds like other than the fact she was dating a criminal we have a lot in common.
On Sunday night, Anne attended the Cracked Christmas Fundraiser which raises money for LGBT youth who are having problems. As part of the night's festivities, Anne decided that she wanted to auction herself off. Not for keeps, but just for drinks. What made me want to be nice to Anne was this quote she gave right before the bidding.
"I'm not usually very forward, but I thought if there was ever a crowd for me to do something like this, this is my crowd so I would like to auction myself off, for drinks somewhere fabulous and basically get you totally s--- faced. Tell me what I'm worth."
You have to love a woman who loves the idea of going out and getting absolutely hammered and from the words, sounds like she will pay for it as well. Considering the three women who bid for the date with Anne shelled out $12,000, it sounds like Anne buying the drinks is the least she could do. Now, if she really, really wants me to like her she should also say that in addition to auctioning herself off, that she matched the $12,000 the women all donated for their date.
So far, I haven't heard that from Anne, but I think that would be a very good idea.

To be fair to Anne, she is NOT Angelina Jolie, does she even have $12,000.00????
Maybe Anne is still embracing her role in "Rachel Getting Married," in which she played a narcissistic damaged young woman in rehab, set loose for a week on the town. Or else she really has become someone who knows how to be real.
Either way, I prefer this Anne Hathaway to the Anne Hathaway that spends all of her interview time making everything in her life-- including embezzlement--oh so pretty.
I thought she was a tightass until she hosted SNL. I like a person who can laugh at their mistakes or make fun of themselves.
i wish someone would offer to take me out and get me sh*tfaced....i could so use it after 'rolling out the new software' day at work...gad

Why is the blog opening up weirdly to the left now all of a sudden?
I have always hated her, but after she went on the Daily Show and was openly crushing on Jon Stewart, I couldn't any more. I think she was raised as a spoiled brat, and is actually managing to loosen up a bit. Good for her.
Canada Chick, if the new software is made by PeopleSoft, start drinking NOW, and don't stop for a very long time. Trust me.

Isn't she rumored to play for the other team? Then auctioning herself off to a few lesbians makes it seem like she is getting something out of it too ;)

Wow, that made me like her just a tiny little bit.
I think she might be a lot of fun one-on-one and that she has a good sense of humor about herself. But she's a business woman about her career, that's why she comes across as a little miss snobby stickupperbutt.
DN, that's not all of it. A friend of a friend went to school with her and said she was a super-bitch even before she got famous.
i dunno, i'll bet she's a lot of fun with a few tequila shots down her gullet!
i really disliked her, and I probably still will, but that comment at least made me warm to her just a tad
I'm sorry, maybe she's a really good person - but she's as photogenic as a tree stump. I just don't understand how she's as famous as she is. She's totally fug.

That dress is...oh, God. I have NO words. I really, really, really hope she doesn't have a stylist. In today's economy, NOBODY needs to make money by dressing poor, hapless girls like that.
