Ukraine's Got Talent Winner Kseniya Simonova

So last night I stumbled across this video of Kseniya Simonova who was the winner of Ukraine's Got Talent. It is over 8 minutes long and I figured I would get bored after a minute or two. Not even close. While the rest of the world generally goes for something less dramatic with their Got Talent winners, the Ukraine decided this woman had the most talent and I agree. She is a sand artist and using a light box and music she draws images of how World War 2 affected the people in the Ukraine. It's pretty damn incredible. I realize many of you don't have 8 minutes right now to watch, but I encourage you to watch it when you have time. It's amazing and that is an understatement.

And not a stripper pole or a pair of hot pants in sight.

Wow! Just, wow! If only today's 'celebrities' had half the talent this lady has in her left pinkie...

Damn it, I need a tissue. Why did this make me cry?

Absolutely incredible. How does one even know they have a talent like this?!?!

Why didn't I think of this instead of messy oils and quick drying acrylics?! She's fabulously talented and extra points for uniqueness! :-)

I wished she lived across the street from me rather than the Ukranians who opt to dry their fish on their front porch, lol.

Thanks Enty. This woman is quite talented. I'm glad she won.

I wonder if she was on America's Got Talent would the judges have appreciated her artistry, passion and humility and declared her the winner?

Damn, people who can do stuff like this blow my mind.

Stunning. If you left me with a light box and a pile of sand, you would return to find a light box and pile of sand. I can make sandcastles only if conditions are ideal.

Thanks for posting that, Enty. Seeing everyone's reaction in the audience was so touching. It's amazing that she could touch so many people with that.

I wish I knew the backstory here and why this was so moving to the people in The Ukraine. anyone care to enlighten me?

Did anyone else notice the instrumental of "nothing else matters" by Metallica at the end there?

She wrote: "You are always here"

That was a very devastating war for Ukraine and Russia. And though almost 70 passed people still think it is very important to remember it. The first episode features the radio broadcast from Moscow on June the 22, when Soviet Union was attacked by Hitler. And, yes, that is Metallica.

That was 8 minutes I won't forget. Thanks Enty. Really made me see who really has talent compared to what I've seen on US tv lately. What a wonder she is!

the instrumental of nothing else matters is by apocalyptica, a finnish cello quartet who started out doing metallica covers then moved on to original songs. kinda goth rock but all cello. they are supercool, i love them. the artist uses them at least twice in this presentation.
