Nick Stahl Is Missing - Drugs Suspected

Nick Stahl, the actor who played John Connor in Terminator 3 is missing. His wife has filed a missing persons report and believes that her husband may have been taking drugs and was hanging out with other drug abusers and fears that something horrible has happened. Nick Stahl was on top of the world. This is a guy who had Charlize Theron on his speed dial and everyone wanted in their movies. Now? He still works, but the quality of the projects is not what it once was and the drugs have to play a big part in it. Hollywood is a small town and if you are doing a lot of drugs and hanging out with a lot of other drug users and coming to work looking like a mess, word spreads. Here is hoping Nick turns up alive and well and gets the help he needs.

Hope Nick is found soon and hopefully safe. (OT All I think about when T3 is mentioned is how my husband and I fell asleep in the theater when it came out. It was just that aweful.)

This is so sad. Yet, another family affected by this demon. I hope its not too late and he turns up safe and gets into rehab.

I hope he's found safe as well. Doesn't he have a child, too? I've liked him since The Man Without a Face. He was a great child actor.

He was most recently on Body of Proof, in a two part Outbreak-style episode.

Oh man. Another child actor gone to the dark side. Hope for his safe return.

Really sad story. I loved him in that HBO show Carnivale.

I read on TMZ that he has been missing since like May 9th. Not good. I hope that he is okay and will get help. There is always a chance to turn your life around... you first have to want it. Hoping for the best for him.

Come home safe!

Drugs suck.

I loved Carnivale he was so good in it. Shame on HBO for canceling it after the 2nd season.

I hope he has a Wes Bentley turn around. I am pulling for his safe return.

He was great as the big yellow mutant who liked little girls in Sin City. Poor guy.

To me, proof of the awful power of addiction is when parents can't get their shit together for the sake of their kids. It breaks my heart for people, how hopeless they must feel. Hope this story has a miraculous happy ending.

I hope he turns up safe and well.
He is very talented. it will be a shame to lose him to a Demon.

Count me in among the "Carnivale" - fans! He was also really good in "Bully" - played a complete asshole and I kind of got the feeling that the character wasn't too far fetched for him, as far as dysfunctionality (Is that a word?) goes.

I have a feeling this will end up like Andrew Koenig. Except it'll either be an OD or a drug-fueled suicide.

I hope I'm wrong.

RE: his character in Bully - it takes guts to play someone like that, if I'm remembering it right.

I just wanted to give the poor boy a hug! (And then slap him silly.)

Loved loved loved Carnivale! Hope he turns up safe. HBO cancels great shows (Deadwood) and keeps other ones on waaay too long (Entourage)

Here are more hopes that is he found safe and sound and is able to get the help he needs.

EmEyeKay- completely agree! that charecter was disturbing and Nick was amazing in the role.

Didn't Edward Furlong who played the kid in the 2nd Terminator also have issues? This is pretty sad. Doubtful it will turn up well.

StanleyRoper said...

He sounds like he's in a bad place and going to a bad place to chase away his dis-ease. Hope this turns out better than it sounds like it will.

@tracynator-Totally agree. When Deadwood went away unfinished I was pissed and I'm not one to get wrapped up in TV. The fact that that piece-of-shit John From Cincinnati was supposed to take it's place turned me off of HBO.

Another child actor grown up w/a drug problem ahhh I don't expect a happy ending to this....:(

Sadly HBO was under bad management when series like Rome, Deadwood and Carnivale were canceled. The biggest mistake was passing on Mad Men.

I hate hearing these stories almost as much as the abuse blinds. Whether it's an actor or an athlete, for someone to squander such talent on something so hollow as getting high, it just pains me to think of it. It's like some deranged person destroying a great work of art.

i dont mean to sound cynical but its really interesting that this came out the same day that the trailer for a new movie is featured on IMDB... one about a stalker and kidnapping

hoping its a coincidence and not some twisted self-pr shit and that he turns up high but okay....

if this was about Lindsay everyone would be talking copious crap about her. JOHN CONNOR IS MISSING

Oh, no, I'm sad to hear this. I've always kinda had a thing for Nick, find him hot in kind of a dirty, brooding way. I hope he's OK.

It's so sad when people turn to drugs. I understand the appeal of them. Especially to people who have inner demons.

I hope Nick is found safe but he's been gone long enough that I'm not holding my breath for a good outcome. This is incredibly sad. Especially since there is a child who's going to miss his dad. :(

@timebob Rome wasn't supposed to be a long running series. I actually liked where it was left off. Although it would have been interesting to see Pulo & Cesarian's story continue.

Now Deadwood & Carnival could have gone on. I guess TPTB didn't have enough faith in those series to keep them on.

This is sad. I hope he turns up, but it doesn't look good.

I hate drugs. I've lost or nearly lost family members, one recovering and one using/dealing, to them. Using seems like harmless fun until you see the extensive damage done to the families. It's sickening and heartbreaking.

Rome, Deadwood and Carnivale , sigh. My spouse and I always wondered why Deadwood was left hanging, such great characters and actors on that show.

Sad for Stahls family

I am sad to read this. I really like Nick's work - he is a terrific actor. I hope he is safe and gets clean.

Loved him in Disturbing Behavior. I don't know if even acknowledges that movie, but still.

What?! I love Nick Stahl. God, I hope he's okay.

I'm still upset about Deadwood, too. I need more Al Swearengen in my life.

loved the movie Bully.
Hope they find him and he is okay. Hope he pulls a Natasha Lyonne. But you know, not found in an alley with Hepatitis or whatever, you know what I mean. She seems to be doing better.

From what I hear though, his family (maybe not immediate? but the Ukranian side) has a history of mental illness, drug, and domestic abuse. Hopefully he hasn't picked that up.

This so breaks my heart. I have had a crush on him since Carnivale.

I hope he's found and he can find his way back to being clean and sober.

I'm so sad. :(

Loved "In the Bedroom".
Hope he is ok.
I almost lost my brother to addiction. he, too, went missing for a few weeks. he was on a binge; my dad visited some rough places and had some run ins with some shady people to find him, but he did find him.
Four years later he has a great job, a wife and child.

I have to say, when a drug user goes missing, it quite often is because of a binge. It's more convenient to use in a location other than one's home, locked away somewhere, burning through all of the cash available. Find a sixty-dollar-a-day room somewhere, then start the drug ordeal -- that's a pretty common usage pattern. In other words, I'm less worried learning that he might be off using somewhere, as opposed to when a clean person disappears with no personal motivation not to be found.

I did hear that he said he had one more run left in him when he was last in rehab. I hope he turns up ok.
