No One Wanted Kourtney Kardashian Baby Shower Photos
Hopefully this is a sign of the times. Rob Shuter is reporting that Kris Jenner ended up having to practically give away baby shower photos from Kourtney Kardashian's baby shower because no tabloid wanted to pay. Kris boxed herself in a corner when she said a tabloid offered $80K. The tabloids all said fine, go get the money and congrats. Turns out though she was bluffing. I love it when no one wants Kardashian stuff. You can tell they are getting desperate and the only thing that would buy them some time is some type of Kim and Kanye wedding which would be over the top and so fake and I don't think any person would actually buy into it. Even if they did that, where can it go from there? A family? Please.

I used to work with women who recorded the Kim/Kris wedding and watched it every night after work for about a month. Sadly, yes, I do think there are people who would happily buy into it.

I think the only thing that'd save the Kardashian cashflow is if Kim got pregnant and had a kid. But that's 40 weeks, and we already know how well Kim does with longterm commitments.

Showers were originally a way to help someone get started. Get married, a friend throws you a shower so people can give you household things you're going to need. Pregnant, same deal. Oddly enough, in those days the wedding shower usually came before the baby shower, too.
This is just greed. I swear they throw the showers for themselves...I always thought even a close relative doing it was sort of tacky.

I just got an invitation to a woman's 4th baby shower that she is throwing for herself. She is 34, has an 18 year old, an 11 year old, an 8 year old, and is pregnant again.
Also, I live in LA, not some back country hick town.
Beyond greed. Mother -ian gave yet a 2nd shower for the yet to be spawned -ian. Guess she was not happy with the haul from the 1st shower. And this is kid #2? This clan is beyond reproach.
I forgot to add that I f*cking HATE baby or bridal showers with every fiber of my being.
There are friends on my facebook who think it's hilarious and hipster to love the Kardashians. They brag about being addicted - they are intelligent, educated, outdoor-loving women. Who also watch the Bachelor, now that I think about it. Hmm.

I had one for my daughter and then one for my 2nd child that was a boy but only after my family talked me into it. I still didn't feel right doing it though. I don't think it's right to have one for babies of the same gender IMO.
The only way it's acceptable to have a second shower is if there was a very large gap between the the first baby. I threw a shower for my sister-in-laws second but her other child was 13. She didn't get a shower for the next child.

Ya know, I remember as a chile thinking, "why are these Gabor sisters (among other celeb "beauties") even famous?" And now I'm a bit aghast to think it might be because they were raving gold-digging whores who fucked anyone and everyone to get famous, including getting golden showers on film (or the equivalent thereof for the day/time)?

I thought the tabloids paid for new baby and wedding pictures. First look at at newlyweds or first look at a new baby. Why would they pay for baby shower pic's? It's just a party. Who took the pictures anyway, paid photog? Do the K's generally make 80 grand for random/posed photos?
Enty, you have to remember that most people not reading your blog are operating on a 6th grade education at best. So, as said above, let's just ignore them and they will go away. Any post about them only helps them. I also vote we stay K-free. Let Ryan find another way to pay for his estate.
Furthermore, any K posting without the requisite pic is an insult to us all.

Never having had any young'uns I thought you had a shower for every baby.But I with Lauren...I loathe them more than Madonna loathes hydrangeas.
Way back when, wedding showers were thrown because the new bride was moving away from her Mom and needed gravy boats and cloth napkins with their initials on them in order to make her house. Only women were invited because the ones that were already married would give her tips on what to expect on her wedding night and how to keep her husband happy and home in her bed.
Baby showers were similar. Her friends would advise her on boiling soiled diapers and keeping her husband happy and home in her bed. Usually her mom would stay with her for the first couple of weeks and yell at her for holding the baby too much or picking it up when it cried.
A couple of people at work had showers for their second kids. I thought it was because they had gotten rid of their baby stuff in moves or they just didnt have enough and their friends wanted to help. These idiots dont need anything. I cant imagine what people gave them.

i dunno about the Ks but I had a shower thrown for me for my second baby. I didnt ask for gifts...I mostly wanted to have a celebration because we lost 2 angel babies trying to have a second child. the bitches that though I just wanted a gift and said so were put in their place by my sister
