Apparently things over in Australia are really loose when it comes to drinking and judging. Either that or Joel Madden was just trying to do his best Paula Abdul judging impression on the Australian version of The Voice and came up with this gem. In any event, Joel was something else. Maybe he took advice from Nicole? I don't know where he came up with some of the expressions or mannerisms.

I'm from Aust and watched the whole show and did think at points throughout he was slurring his words. But I don't think he was drunk - more like on meds or something!!

I was a HUGE good Charlotte fan when I was 13 or so, saw every show that I could possibly see, had every DVD and knew all lyrics to every song... In the DVDs he acted this way, when I met him.. He was acting silly too... The concerts he was acting goofy... The point is he's a goofy quirky sort of guy and in my opinion he wasn't drunk, just being himself
