Apparently there are rules as to when you can and can't visit people after giving birth. If they feel well enough to go out, why not?
As shocking as it is, people with kids do manage to get out of the house every now and then.

They are leaving to STAY at Kate's parents, who have a/c. For baby George. (This Enty is such an asshole, especially today. that blatantly misleading Roseanne story just really pissed me off. Sorry all.)

Duchess kate must have an amazing iron clad vagina to be so giddy and bouncy days after giving birth. I wonder who's idea it was to have her wearing that cute but not loose enough dress that accentuated her mommy tummy. She rocked it with class though.

The palace doesn't have air conditioning. I assume it would be a tremendous undertaking to have it retrofitted into a building of that size and age. Being British, my memories are that an open window and a fan are sufficient most days.
@Marieee, he's been staying with Kate's family when he visits for ages, ever since his university days, so for around a decade probably. I've heard they're quite close and he regards them as a second family.
Kate's gonna be staying with her parents for the indefinite future apparently.

My sister visited us frequently when my nephew was born. Staying at home would just make you go crazy.

I can't imagine not having air conditioning. I live in Louisiana though. Even a window or floor unit would help, jeez.

@Jessie, my office has fans but no central cooling. When it gets very very hot, we open windows and set portable fans in front of buckets of ice.
Why does Enty hate the royals so much?
It's not normal to have a/c in the uk we don't need it very often, last 'summer' was almost as cold as the winter. It's only when we get a heat wave like at the moment that people even consider it. Saying that it is getting more popular and most cars have it now, my office doesn't though even though it is made of glass and resembles a greenhouse most days!
What boy wants to shop for ANYTHING with his mom when he could be home playing video games or hanging with his friends? Only a female Entry with no kids would make that suit remark.
