I am guessing he had a divorce agreement not to write anything during his life or possibly until their child was an adult. Lily is 19,so maybe that's why.

Despite Icky’s horrible treatment of Susan, Susan has said nothing but wonderful things about Chris since his death. I could see her writing a book about her career, but I can’t see that book happening without mentioning CC & Soundgarden.
Well the deceased musicians are CC, Tom petty, David Bowie, who else? The memoirist can’t just be some random groupie or we’d never guess him/her. But if it’s a famous musician, you’d expect him/her to be id’d as such. Ditto an ex-spouse. So probably a friend, sibling, or famous ex-gf or bf who has done something in his or her own right?
Oh and prince! But he wasn’t married when he died.
Yes, I thought of Prince as well but he wasn’t married unless you consider his former spouse. Chester Bennington but idk who the author would be. Any band mate would have to mention him & I think Talinda gets along well with all of them.

I don't think it's Prince because Mayte already wrote her book, why would or how could she then say it's bad to write about Prince? I also don't think she'd go after the second wife. The 2nd wife was on "Hollywood Exes" having tea w/Mayte or something, and Mayte is kind to her in her own book. I think Mayte has her feelings but also has class about it.

My first thought was Kurt and Courtney - I wonder if it would be someone like Dylan Carlson, who was also close to Kristen Pfaff.

@Aquagirl,there has been talk of Chester's first wife writing a book, possibly with his sister and mother. They are on the outs lately with Talinda.
I thought susan silver writing about her career (managing AIC, soundgarden) and obviously being married to Chris Cornell with Vicky wanted to stop any mention of Chris.
I could see this being Susan Silver/Vicky...Susan was with him for ages, as manager and gf/wife. She was in the hub of Seattle music when the scene caught on nationally and globally. Her perspective on all of that told truthfully and unfiltered could be fascinating and insightful. Unless there was some NDA signed explicitly forbidding it, ALL of that is her story to tell. Biographies and historical books lose their relevance if the events are white-washed of any ugliness and the characters sainted beyond fault. She is a first hand source, with a very unique perspective on a person AND an era. I hope it is done thoroughly and truthfully.
Meh, nevermind...if susan/vicky, "widow" would have been used...my opinion on a Susan book holds, though.

@Vita: The blind says ‘the deceased musician’s spouse’ so it could be Vicky/Susan.
@Guesser: Yes, I knew that Chester’s ex and sister were on the outs with Talinda (and apparently always have been. For example, Talinda was not allowed to be alone with his son from that marriage.) Many months ago the ex-wife and sister posted some things on Instagram that really called out Talinda on her shit and said that supposedly Chester was planning to divorce her at the time of his death. In fact, I think he already had or was in the process of buying a separate house. Those few posts caused such a war that soon after Chester’s brother-in-law posted to back up his wife’s version. I actually didn’t think that any of them would have the courage to write a book, but bravo if they do. I don’t think it will be pretty.
BTW: I think that Talinda’s just as bad as Icky; she just hides it better.
@Guesser: Not sure if you’re still following this blind, but lots of info available on Alternative Nation vis a vis the relationships of Chester, ex-wife, sister & her husband. That was shut down so quickly, that, as I said above. I give them major credit if they would actually write a book about this.
Aquagirl: Bret Buchanan (Alt Nation) is a paid mouthpiece for Icky and therefore nothing he writes is to be taken seriously. Chester lived a hella messy life. But Buchanan knows NOTHING beyond what is being fed to him.
