The A/A- list singer who wants to be an actress full time is already talking about fiddling with the numbers of a new line by spending her own money to make it look like a huge best seller.

This is one of the most cockamamie ideas around. All so she "outsells" other celeb line's debuts? If it isnt real, what's the benefit? Two minutes of business/sales press? Zzzzzzz. Put the money toward unique adverts or something cool that will cater to and reward your loyal Monsters, and maybe it will do something tangible to actually build a true, repeat customer base.

She has a fan base that includes more artistic and flamboyant sorts of both genders. She could have a blast with this, and make it a very fun vehicle for further connection with her fans. Discussion on many posts here has demonstrated that people are loyal to good make up products...she should go for quality for her crowd, rather than trying simply to compete with kylie numbers (or whatever this stupid plan of hers is about).

Marketing, marketing, marketing. Know your demographic.

Character makeup, stage makeup, costumes, Halloween, nightclubs, drag queens.

She's not the type to sell mousy colors and that market is glutted. Why not specialize.

How about instead of making her line boring colors and overdone finishes that you can only buy in packs she should invest a bit more in the company and actually come out with something people want and sell everything individually. I know I would've bought a couple things if I didn't also have to get colors I would never wear! Also she should ditch Amazon and try to sell this stuff on her own because people with a conscience won't buy from them anyway! She needs to decide if she really wants to compete with FENTY or if she just wants to do what Kylie Minogue did with her makeup "brand" and go as cheap as possible so she can keep a trademark.

Or: using the same plan followed by crooks in DC, except with them it's books! Sign a book deal, get an advance of $$millions, pocket advance, hire ghostwriter, keep the change.
Part 2: cohort buys up a ton of copies, more money into pocket of the DC crook that now looks like a best-selling author!
Crook is now very popular-looking, and hady successfully laundered millions of dollars!

Yes they get paid very well. Hopefully those perks make all the stuff they had to go through to get there, worth it.

Yeah, I'm not into palettes. Pretty much use concealer, powder, blush and eyebrow pencil now. Oh, and a neutral lippy. No mascara is kinda cool and new for me. Actually brings out my eyes.
Anything not to look like a dead bag-lady. Which is my default look.

Not shocking Gaga would do this. She's just as bad as Beyonce and Jay-Z were with Tidal in terms of manipulating data (streams/sales) etc. to give the impression of masdivr success to offset possible flop.

I will NEVER forget how Gaga LITERALLY reduced the price of her Born This Way album to $0.99 through Amazon for the week it went on sale back in 2011 - ALL so Gaga could break 1st week sales of 1 million. While she did break the 1mil in sales (and you'd BEST BELIEVE Gaga bragged about that 1mil in 1st week sales to NO END), the tactic backfired on her and she was called out for it all over the place for the gimmick, with asterisks placed next to mentions of her so-called "record breaking" sales that week by reputable online music review and charting outlets online.

It kinda reminds me of how Taylor Swift puts as many "easter eggs" in her music videos as she can, all to ensure that her zombified fans will watch her dumb videos multiple times trying to "figure them all out" 🙄🙄- all so that Taylor gets record breaking Youtube view counts and bragging rights. It's the most calculated, capitalistic M.O. of any pop singer in existence today - which is why I LOOOOOVE that people are calling Taylor out for it now, since she's clearing trying to cash in and capitalize on Pride Month with her latest single after next to zero support previously. Shady tactics deserve to be highlighted!!

Yes... what everyone sees and no one addresses, the fact that she is indeed too damn ugly for acting, including the roles that she has already played. She made her role in AHS a joke, as she was playing someone who was supposed to be incredibly beautiful, LOL ok
