I think they lured Beck back into the fold when he got really popular... I heard rumours that he broke up with his girlfriend, Leah, because she cheated on him... but then I heard rumours that this was made up by church of $cientology people to get him back. Shortly after he went back, he married Melissa Ribisi (is that her first name? Marissa? I don't care to look it up) who was also born into $cientology.
Now they're not letting him see his kids because he wised up? I feel bad for him.
the part about not seeing his family is bullshit. Beck is in contact with his exwife and children, his ex was at his latest record release (2 weeks ago).
