Barry Manilow Is A Publicity Whore

Barry Manilow has stated he's not showing up for his date with The View tomorrow because Barbar Walters won't put out for him. You know how much Barry loves the ladies. Actually the reason Barry isn't going on the show is that he can't stand Elisabeth Hasselback's views on cultural issues. Barry was supposed to be on the show to promote his new album which no one cares about except people the age of Barbara Walters but instead Barry will be laying in his hotel room pouting. This hissy fit Barry is throwing got him more publicity than him sitting on The View for ten minutes ever would. The only way he could get more publicity would be if he and Clay Aiken adopted a love child together.

Elisabeth is Elisabeth and whether you like her or hate her or have a secret crush on her like Rosie did, there is one thing you do know. She has been the same since day one. Elisabeth didn't up and become conservative after Barry's appearance was scheduled, and so this was probably going to be a publicity stunt from the very beginning and just another opportunity to trash Elisabeth.

Yeah, Elisabeth's a danger all right. All her little conservative self.

I may not always agree with her, but I have to give the girl credit for going up against the other View castmates, she's so outnumbered. I don't know too many liberals who'd stand up alone, facing off against a team of conservatives day in, day out and get nothing but abuse from the public for it.

Elisabeth is entitled to her opinions.

Good point, Bryn!

Elizabeth might be entitled to her opinion, but she's an idiot. I say GO Barry! Stand up for what you believe in. And you might think it's only 60-somethings buying his CD's, but he's got a ton of fans, all ages. He's the consummate performer!
