And what about Dunst for the rehabbed starlet. I know she is the UK, but was she not recently in NY for her B-Day and all, with stories of her getting wasted. And, she is rehabbed, and young enough to be a starlet, no?

Redford and Newman would be a lot more fun, but it probably is Matt and Ben. As for the rehabbed starlet, the list is way too long to guess from. I would hope that Matt and Ben would have better taste than to include Lindsay in the party.
I think Matt/Ben/Eva, too. They're even pretty close in age. Lohan is too young, she'd be like an evil Energizer bunny when on coke. It's that kid energy. Too annoying for those two at their age, I'd guess.
This is a NY blind, so how about actors that live in New York. Robert DeNiro have any famous actor pals? Joe Pesci? Hmm... he's not married.
I wouldn't call either Eva or Kirsten a starlet. Not only does starlet mean young, but I also take it to mean still up-and-coming.
What about Christian Slater / Lou Diamond Phillips? Are they still good friends?
I agree with Kevin, I think the starlet could be Miss Dunst, definately still qualifies as rehabbed and starlet. I also think the blogs use "starlet" in whatever way they want, there is no one meaning. Also could be Eva Mendez but I don't think Lindsay, too obvious.
"Beyond famous" has to be a clue as well.
DeNiro and Harvey Keitel are good friends according to IMDB. Keitel is currently in NY rehearsing for a Broadway play. And he's married.

I see the word "starlet" as an easy way to describe a female star...Doesn't have to be a super young chick star, just a super pretty chick star...
The only known pals that I know of is Ben and Matt. Always thought they were more than pals lol.
Not sure about Ben being beyond-famous since he is a bad actor. None of his movies have had good ratings.
What about Denis Leary? Who does he pal around with?

"Beyond Famous" is a legend. To me, Clooney, Pitt, Affleck, Damon are all to young and new (past 10 years). I think we are talking about true Legendary stars like Nicholson, Beatty, Hoffman, DeNiro, Michael Douglas, Keitel, Fonda
Starlet has to be under 25 too, like Dunst-26, Johanssen-21 and no rehab, Mendez-34, Lohan-21,
