Blind Item #6

This foreign born A list mostly movie actor can say what he wants, but the studio would love nothing more to pull his movie because they know he is going to have a career that is nonexistent now.

Holy s*** just how dumb and tin-headed do you have to be to come out with a statement like that?

Chillax said...

Liam Neeson, what an ass. Retire and stop talking.

CJ said...

Liam Neeson. If his typical audience is older, I doubt if they'll stay away from the movie theatre. They'll get what he was trying to say.

But even if he is outcast after this, I doubt if he'll care too much. He's had a magnificent career.

Alana said...

What did he say?

Humor Me said...

Liam - He went to confession! He knew it was wrong once he came to his senses. What more do people want? he's human....

cc423 said...

If you're going to play the game, you don't make mistakes like that.

MeliticusBee said...

I don't think it would actually impact his ticket sales - if they don't ditch him.
Considering what some people have said and done by comparison - his crime is barely a blip....jokes about baby raping, actually raping children...etc.

but

have to wonder why he would put himself out there with a salacious topic that is bound to attract gunfire from SJW mouths?
He never had to say anything - why would he spew a taxicab confession?

I don't get it.

Liam Neeson should have just kept that anecdote to himself. There was no reason to share something like that. He's going to be one of those guys who will go off the rails in his old age, I'm afraid.

sandybrook said...

@p he said after a friend of his was raped he went out hunting for a "black bastard" to kill. So he wanted to commit a random murder against any black man he could find for revenge.

Tierney said...

I like Liam, but it was a mistake to put this in the press. I don't know what he was thinking. On talk shows this morning he just looked haggard, tired and old.
In terms of his career, I wish he hadn't gone the action-star route... he did well, but now he's stuck. And Enty is correct in that no one wants to see movies about an old guy beating people up (even Bad Guys) when we know he practically hunted black people in real life years ago. Those comparisons will be stapled to every movie he does now. Previously he was a fine leading actor and could have easily transitioned to character parts. Seems unlikely now.

parissucksliterally said...

Liam Neeson, and I disagree - this won't affect his career.

Lol!

Notagoodscreenname said...

His confession was shocking to say the least. He acted like he’s a changed man now but the fact that he thought something so racist and evil to begin with is concerning.

Jimbonius said...

It's probably Liam, and I think he'll be fine.

pwal said...

No...the fact that he said that he would attack any random Black man, versus the specific alleged assailant, is a problem. People have revenge fantasies, but the subject is specific and no substitute will ever do. The mindset is similar to rampage shooters and incels, who target innocent people instead of dealing with their own personal issues.

Brayson87 said...

Oh give me a f*cking break, what a nonstory. He found out his friend was raped by a black man, and how did he react, how did he go over the top on his hate crime spree? He walked around the black areas of a city, hoping he'd get attacked for walking and fight back in self-defense.
His true racism was that he stereotyped black areas as unsafe places where he was likely be mugged or attacked by black men. Those areas are statistically way more unsafe for black men than for any white people.

Still the whole issue demonstrates where women fall on the victim hierarchy for the radical left. Always going to be number two no matter which party you pick. ;)

Amartel said...

This dumb controversy will be forgotten.

But then who will take over the bad movie roles Harrison Ford no longer wants?

Brayson87 said...

Oh Harrison Ford's time is coming soon too.

InkBlot said...

Some of you are pieces of work.

1. Neeson never attacked anybody.

2. If a black guy said he felt rage at whites for a wrong to a loved one by a white yet never did more than just feel a confessed irrational anger and is ashamed for felling it, would you hold it against him? LOL. I wouldn't, FWIW, but still LOL.

Hypocrisy is despicable.

"POWER-WALKING CURED MY RACISM" - liam neeson, actor

Brayson87 said...

I'm surprised the woman hasn't been labelled a racist for calling her rapist a black man, is color all she can see? And if so how did she know it wasn't the VA governor in blackface on his way to a costume contest, did she ever think about that? Maybe she owes her rapist an apology for being racially insensitive. ;)

Astra Worthington said...

+1 but this is how it is. White people always bad, black people always poor, wronged innocent victims no matter what. Nothing in the media can ever be reported any differently.

Astra Worthington said...

I hope you are as indignant when black people attack whites, for “slavery”. Lots of that goes on, but it’s never covered in the media! Gee I wonder why? Doesn’t fit with the whites always bad, blacks always good, media narrative.

Astra Worthington said...

Astra Worthington said...

Lol exactly. How dare she mention color? She should’ve only mentioned his height, outfit and hair/eye color! Unless he was white, then “WHITE MAN rapist” would be plastered everywhere like they do on the Daily Mail whenever a white person commits a crime. Besides, she has white privilege and I’m sure she wouldn’t want an innocent black man, a victim of her racism and white privilege, to be incarcerated? After all, black men are disproportionately imprisoned for their crimes, probably because of white racism, not them actually ever committing any crimes of course. They’re all in jail for no reason other than white supremacy! So, she ought to check her privilege and consider this her part in reparations for slavery and white supremacy!

PickyTicky said...

Say whatever you want, he wanted this type of reaction. There’s no way he
didn’t know he was going to get his lunch for breakfast.
I call it kicking your own ass. I don’t feel sorry for him.

LondonGirl said...

How many more films can he make that are exactly the fucking same anyway? I don't care what he said, but his films bore me.

MDAnderson said...

Omg Rosie!!

Sarton Bander said...

Compared to what the extremely racist SJWs say about white people this is a total non-event.

gauloise said...

If only he had used Giillette razors, all this could have been avoided.

Roger Mortis said...

Given the number of identical second rate action films he has been in I totally forgot he was Oscar nominated in Schindler's List. Maybe he's bored of his career?

Urban Rosebud said...

I think because of the silent shock of him & Viola in Widows may have had personal & professional backlash.

Now he is trying to subliminally say "at one time I was a racist too but got over it."

So that beginning pretty explicit sex scene can be washed away as art & he is back to his strong Euro roots.

Perception is tricky. Q ratings & all.

@gauloise

LMAOOOOO

Brayson87 said...

OMG, he starred in a movie called Darkman! He's been waving his dixie flag right in people's faces since the beginning, have mercy!

Urban Rosebud said...

Personally, I believe some of these actors are forced to walk the humiliation plank every few years so they remember who their masters are...

@Urban, Why so he can brag again about knocking up both Kate Beckinsale and Brandon Lee's sister?

If that ruins his career, then there are a couple of late night comedians who donned black face on their shows.

Neeson/Gibson team up now!!!!!!

Just heard Liam's new movie to have premiered this weekend has been cancelled.

I attended the Toronto film festival showing of 'Seraphim Falls' in 2006 starring Liam Neeson. After the film, Liam spoke to us answering our questions. He also pleaded to the audience to forgive his friend, Mel Gibson who had suffered public banishment after his drunken arrest in 2006.

The audience remained quiet and didn't respond to Liam's request.

Sad that a decade+ later, Liam is now in need of public forgiveness. I wish him well and hope he pulls through this.

Racism is Ireland is like baseball in America.

Aoife said...

I was stunned his people didn't cut him off or put pressure on the reporter and his/her paper to squash the story.

That said, what if his friend had been attacked by a white man? Would he have gone out hunting for someone to kill?

Career ending.

What a bunch of dumbass, backwards ass racists in these comments, but just a reflection of how low this site has sunk. You all deserve each other. Bye a-holes.

I blame Guinness beer for his confession. It sounds fake.

Notagoodscreenname said...

Froggy is right. What the fuck are astra and brayson talking about?!

Gylly said...

Wow . This site tackles some God awful subjects, a lot of gallows humour is needed to wade through it. Astra and Brayson are creating a conversation; yes often it will be close to the edge, but be open minded enough to see the points raised.

Getting bored of posters slamming others or dissing the site, move along if you don't like it. Love to all.

Astra Worthington said...

Lol if I have to explain it to you, then it isn’t for you. Stick to picture books.

Bye Froggy. Too bad that the “UR RAYCISSSSS” card is now being declined and the bank of white guilt is overdrawn. I’m sure you thought white people would forever be bludgeoned into silence by racism accusations. Apparently not. How dare white peope notice and comment on things, right? But please imagine that we are all heartbroken to be rid of another annoying moral policeman, if it makes you feel better. God knows the world and the internet is suffering a lack of over sensitive cry babies 🙄

Astra Worthington said...

Thanks Gylly. I’ll say what I want and am tired of the double standards. If people don’t like it?

⬆️⬇️⬅️➡️

Simple solution. Best not to bother with the same old silencing tactics because I don’t really care, it won’t work, and it won’t stop me. Soooooo.....don’t waste your time.

"His true racism was that he stereotyped black areas as unsafe places where he was likely be mugged or attacked by black men. Those areas are statistically way more unsafe for black men than for any white people."

LOL, trying to explain away simply what one sees with one's own eyes takes a tremendous effort. "Well" done sir.

The guy wanted revenge and to hurt someone after a traumatic event befell one of his friends. Shit, if we were all put on trial for things we had thought of decades ago I'd be in Guantanamo Bay.

Notagoodscreenname said...

@Glly @Astra
“Gallows humour?” “Creating a conversation?” Is that what we’re chalking the racial insensitive comments up to now? Gallows humor and creating a conversation… Yes, there’s a good bit of sarcasm being written, but the messages seem pretty serious to me. So anyone can say anything even if its offensive and they can’t be called out on it because they’re just creating a conversation? Those who disagree are trying to “silence” others. You seem to feel pretty free to express your opinions. I’m going to express mine too. If I see something that’s racist, I’m sure as hell going to call it out.

When have white people been attacked “for slavery?” Are you kidding me? I don’t know what whites always bad, blacks always good narrative you’re referring to. I REALLY don’t see white people as victims in general. But people of color have been -- and still are -- discriminated against. Calling us “poor, wronged innocent victims” frankly is offensive and implies that any account of racism against black people shouldn’t be trusted. Sorry to tell you but racism is NOT dead. It’s still alive and well. Ask me how I know…

Aoife asked a good question: what if his friend had been attacked by a white man? Would he have gone out hunting for someone to kill? I’m guessing no.

What if this very conversation was deemed "inappropriate"?
Ie, faces plastered all over the tabloids, just for discussing racism?
How would that be?
I am flummoxed at how easily and casually people give up their basic freedoms and rights.

Notagoodscreenname said...

Which basic freedoms and rights are you referring to?

Sal T said...

I wonder if he was trying to preempt some potential threat of video/audio footage of him making racist remarks back in the day coming out?
