I always owe Uncle Sam, what's new

The goal is to break even, otherwise you're giving the government an interest free loan.

@Brayson - totally agree. I did get a refund this year and I prefer to break even or owe a little bit.

Biggest refund yet, on top of bigger paychecks. Life is good. :)

We owed Uncle Sam just like every other year.

Owed this year thanks to the SALT cap. Going to have to adjust my W-4.

HA! I am 10-99. Haven't paid taxes since 2007. fuck the IRS

Refund, because I bumped my withholding up when I read about how tRump was fucking us all over, yet again.

Thia said...

Interesting, @mooshki - I made zero changes, had a slight bump in pay, and got a refund.

I got more weekly and a little less refund. But the weekly increase outweighed the less I got in refund - by a lot!

@Thia, mooshki just wanted to express her TDS.

I finally got a refund after being fucked over by Obunghole in his last miserable years.

Finally broke even with the state after having an extra $3/week taken out of my check. Federal, owed a lot less than I figured - almost pocket change.

Is hard to say - am self-employed, so was able to write off expenses. This "saved" me about $20K in taxes, but that does not even come close to covering my losses. One big change this year is that you couldn't claim moving expenses.

owe $4,000 this year. thanks for that Chump.

I'm self-employed and poor on paper. I don't pay taxes. :)

They kept all of the money I paid at married and zero, then charged 1000 more. That is 200 more than I usually pay.

I’m surprised it who always has to be the first to reply even if it’s wrong or a dumb guess hasn’t posted.

Trivia this one you sure to get right if you reply

Refund. Much smaller than last year. I'm one of those people who don't mind Uncle Sam hanging onto my money for a year and then giving it back.

Traditional saving accounts pay basically zero interest. Investments of course pay more but I'd rather hedge against any taxes owed by overpaying slightly and getting a return. So yeah I've got no issues with getting a refund.

Since I am Self-Employed, I paid!
But, the amount owed was smaller than usual.

Extension - self employed
