They do drug searches with dogs on incoming international flights. While they don't search domestic flyers normally for them they get law enforcement to handle it if they do find drugs while doing their searches.

TSA does not do the drug searches. Customs does. As mentioned, should TSA find drugs, they are supposed to refer it to law enforcement.

This is literally so stupid. The TSA does searches. One of the things they search for is drugs. Enty is no lawyer
@ Do Tell, bingo! It's DEA or CBP that does the drug searches. TSA usually calls local law enforcement if they inadvertently find something, which is why people fly through SFO/SJC with small amounts of weed w/o consequence. Local law enforcement don't care.

Saying the TSA doesn't do drug searches is literally stupid no matter what is on their site. The do search for drugs. They may not be the ones that arrest you, but they do searches for all contraband which includes drugs you morons!
TSA doesn't search for drugs? Seriously? And Brooke Mueller can't say "I'm running late for a flight from LA to Miami" because why, will she get tasered for being late?
The only partially close but really not even thing here is "TSA doesn't search for drugs". They search for contraband, and drugs are contraband. So if you get searched and they find your keychain pocketknife, they will take it and give you the option to get it back with the mail kiosks. If you get searched and and they find your pocket stash of heroin, they will take it and you and page the DEA agents who are airport duty.
