I covered MANY bands in Argentina, and the way they tried to bribe the security guards at Faena Hotel, the way the coordinate TO TAKE DOWN THE WOOD FENCES BY KICKED THEM as if they were an spartan army ..
Imagine 300 girls kicking at same time wood panels - Not even drummers could do it so precisely-
The hotel is in an area were federal police or provincial one cant get it, only "militar" police can, and as you can imagine THEY WERENT GOIGN TO TOUCH CHILDREN so they didnt move a finger to stop them ...
So the hotel staf began to SPREAD PEPPER SPRAY ON THE GIRLS, and suddenly you had hundreds of children running desperate in tears screaming .. their "adventure" ended with MILITAR COPS PATIENTLY WASHING THEIR FACES WITH BOTTLES OF MINERAL WATER in a very fatherly attitude

Faena hotels tend to be nice cause their "owner" is ALAN FAENA a guy who dresses always in white whose speciality is .. let s be honest, money laundry
He had "his" own fashion brand at 19, and few years later he "owned" one of the most luxurious hotels in the country ... that s what i call SENSE FOR BUSINESS ...
If you ever come here - I ll gladly invite you an asado - local barbecue- and guide you specially where you shouldnt go!!-
2 greats areas to see are RECOLETA and if you like nature the natural green area near PUERTO MADERO. Let me tell you sth about them ... RECOLETA is considered "the latin Paris" cause the building style, stores, food style and specially ART offers, plenty of art galleries, universities, museums etc there you can find luxury shopping malls and crossing av Libertador a kind of FAVELA ... You ll notice argentina, specially Buenos Aires is an area of DEEP CONTRASTS
PUERTO MADERO: It s our local Vegas without casinos .. it was bilt from nonewhere over a shxthole, we had an abandoned area in the harbour, only rats and homeless people were in there till during a veryy corrupted goverment some of their polititians began to take those old buildings and suddenly it was all fresh, new divineee AND EXPENSIVE, MADERO has the most expensive land by square meter in the entire country, it s veryyy secure cause they have militar police and the giant towers look at La Plata river tht actually looks like a sea, the COSTANERA SOUTH RESERVATION for animals is next to it so it s like living next to central park
The local Faena hotel was built on an old building and for many years it was legally " an abandoned warehouse" ... even when top musicians were staying at there - tax evasion is Alan Faena s main game after money laundry ...
People like U2, MICK JAGGER or MADONNA had always prefered to stay at the mansion of Four seasons for 2 things .. security and discresion, I have a LOT of memories about when GNR stayed at there in the early 90s ... I cant believe a teen ended up dead ... long story but poor child

so .. people didnt use to go to their restaurant thinking it was too expoensive and rooms were mostly empty cause the real high price ... tel me how they survived ALL THESE YEARS??? ... money laundry ...
