Blind Item #9 - A Reader Blind Item

The guitarist of a rock band known as being the “cool guys” of the industry shed this facade when a blog printed a harmless joke he made about their frontman during an answer in an interview. Even though the interviewer printed everything exactly as the guitarist said, the guitarist called the interviewer after the article was published and told him he would beat the shit out of him if he ever saw him in person. Apparently their frontman is not as nice as everyone thinks, and the guitarist was afraid for his job.

I keep falling in love with their music because it gets better .... I think Dark Necessities video was all about them (played out as skater chicks); says it all-they survived

  18. As much as I dread to think it, Chris Shiflett/Dave Grohl/Foo Fighters. Chris has made comments in the past about expecting every paycheck to be his last.

  21. Foo Fighters is the first band that comes to mind when I think of "cool guys", but Dave Grohl has an excellent sense of humor. I can't possibly imagine him getting upset over a harmless joke.

  22. Not Eddie Vedder, not Dave Grohl. I simply won't allow it. Also forbidding it to be Bruce Springsteen while I'm at it.

  28. Kiki Jones - If my interview was with Alt Nation, i'd take my words back, too. What a bottom feeder Brett Buchanan is.

  29. This is most definitely Dave Grohl. He did an interview years back where a fellow musician said he used a click track on the Nirvana albums. Gohl instantly turned on him.

Guitarist Chris Shifflett has said he expects to get fired by Dave on a regular basis.

IMO Gohl is one of the phoniest frauds of a musician out there next to the Edge. Kurt wrote those drum parts on the Nirvana albums (he was originally a drummer). Gohl took the abuse and then abused his own band members.

  30. I don't care who this is unless it's one of my three favorite lead guys. I'll be so sad if this is about a) James Hetfield, b) Chris Martin or c) Dave Grohl. Please don't let it be any of these guys. They're so awesome and all seem down to earth, nice, normal people.

  31. dave grohl is a really nice dude..I know someone who has known him since they were kids and he does a lot of nice, off the radar stuff.
