2018 Bohemian Grove List

Some names are missing, and some were illegible because of the source material. UPDATE: Thanks to readers and others, this update to the list has a bunch of identifications, and more people of interest highlighted. I also added some notable members/guests not on the 2008 or 2018 lists at the bottom, together with some info links and trivia. This version should also be easier to read.

Thank you, Mr. Ent Lawyer.

I heard the list is released every year?

There is a "Conan O'Brien" on the list, is that the TV host?

So does anything nefarious take place or is this a summer camp for 1 percenters, or a grown version of the Little Rascals clubhouse?

A getaway, males only.

Samantha the 1st said...

Conan O'Brien was a surprise.

Samantha the 1st said...

I thought it was spelled "O'Brian."

Jim Belushi was on the list also.

I will hazard a guess: both were there as comedians, to entertain the other guests.

They have some type of shows, like at a summer camp.

I lived near there when I was in Guerneville on the Russian River. I met some pretty strange people who invited us to a party right on the perimeter. It was bizarre and no fun at all. They claimed to be druids. I dunno. I met a guy who lived in the area, and he worked this event this month a couple of times. He said it's just a bunch of fags. LOL That's what Nixon said too.

cheesegrater15 said...

Malcolm McDowell was an even bigger surprise.

@cheesegrater15 - The Grove is nothing if it isn't old school connections and new power brokers. If you look more into Conan, it's not a shock he's there. Father - Harvard grad, epidemiologist and medical professor at Harvard doctor, mother Yale Law grad. Conan went to Harvard.

I didn't read through the list, but if Malcolm McDowell is on it then I'm disappointed. He's always given me the impression of being against that type of thing.

Just noticed there is a "Camp" called "Five Easy Pieces."

I was musing while skimming the list: who decides who bunks in which cabin/camp?

Maybe it's a different Malcolm McDowell or maybe he too was there to entertain. Maybe he was an emcee?

But he was married to Mary Steenburgen in the past, and she is a close friend of the Clintons.

Samantha the 1st said...

Pudlucker, Do Tell, and anyone who's never heard of B Grove before -

It began as an artist's retreat. As in any type of creative person. Summer camp for men. Drinking, carousing in the woods.

I am not sure if it always had a crossover element of "fraternal societies" i.e. secret rituals, guys in robes carrying torches.

The kickoff is allegedly a "cremation of care" in which an effigy of a whiny brat is burned, signifying they are all now free to party and forget their woes and worries.

Apart from that it gained notoriety over the years because the guest list includes the wealthy, famous, and powerful, including Presidents of the USA.

Google and you tube can give you more.

Michael York. Wonder if it's the same guy who played Basil Exposition in the Austin Powers movies.

Some of the guests might be there to be in the skits/shows/whatever - they allegedly have entertainment during the time. I presume they get to hang out and enjoy also.

intercerebellar said...

It needs to be said that NOT EVERYONE at the Bohemian Grove is involved in dark things. It is very compartmentalized.

Clint Eastwood - has consistently shown up over the years. Has a long history in Republican Party politics.

Peter Jackson - most likely this is an American businessman, not the movie director.

Jimmy Buffett - mentioned in Cathy O'Brien's Trance Formation of America as a go-between/informant in the US/Cuba drug trade. Shows up every year. Doesn't surprise me.

The real monsters are the ones in MANDALAY. You need written permission to even approach this camp. Word is it's the location of the entrance to an underground cave system where all manner of horrible things take place.

About 15 years ago I had friends in a very successful band. A couple of them really hooked into the Hollywood scene, they were just very normal (foreign to the US) guys. They went to a big awards show and said the gf of one said the after party was really weird. It was many levels of a club and you had to have a specific pass to get through various levels. They were pretty big ay the time, but were not given access beyond a certain level.

Like that, I'm gonna tip there's certain levels of partying, then debauchery, then perversion that happens depending on your "pass" level.

I also knew a woman who's friends daughter fled Hollywood (she was trying to make it as a dancer) after attending a party thrown by Jamie Foxx. She said it really scared her, how weird it was.

Angela said...

The list is a Rorschach test for idiots who are into conspiracies. The ones that assume that private club = secret society = dark stuff = children being raped every third Friday by people wearing Venitian masks because they always refer to Eyes Wide Shut for the presentation.

And, of course, Enty really started to focus on the Bohemian Grove in the fall of 2017, when he needed to keep the traffic brought here by the Weinstein and Spacey scandals and realized that child molestation conspiracies were a very efficient bait for readers.

I have no particular sympathy for the people in the list, a bunch of conservative businessmen (some of them responsible for a lot of awful political decisions, like the Koch brothers) with the occasional artist brought in to make events a little more glamorous, but when one of the biggest finds, one of the few highlighted names, is Jim Freaking Belushi, you know it's the equivalent of a dumpster fire.

Do Tell said...

Except that on a list that includes Clint Eastwood, Colin Powell, three other Secretaries of State including Henry Kissinger, Nancy Pelosi's husband, multiple Congressmen, and a cornerstone of Wall Street among others, Jim Belushi is one of the LEAST known names on that list.

While I don't understand people who repeatedly come to the site when they so clearly despise it, the people who run it, and the people who regularly post on it,I do appreciate the hypocrisy of trashing conspiracy theories and then posting another conspiracy theory as to why the list was posted.

"Patrick John Wayne is that the Actor & son of the famous Actor?"

John Wayne's birth surname was Morrison, so I was more curious about the Morrisons on the list. But I don't know if that man is connected to 'the' John Wayne.

Could be? It began as a retreat for creatives. Isn't he an actor too?

"The list is a Rorschach test for idiots who are into conspiracies."

If by Rorshach you mean people see what they want to see -- okay, fair enough. It's a bit redundant though, since none of us "know" what goes on there, since it is a secret gathering/society/whatever.

But that, as I said earlier, is part of the allure and appeal to everyone who wasn't invited.

I don't think everyone who finds it mysterious or interesting believes in all you named, though; why wouldn't a yearly gathering of some of the world's most powerful men be of interest to others?

Red Velvet Boots said...

It would be interesting to see this filtered by camp.

Samantha the 1st said...

By "redundant" I meant, it's already part of the fabric, since there's no other option for outsiders *but* to speculate, so it goes without saying.

@Samantha

"why wouldn't a yearly gathering of some of the world's most powerful men be of interest to others?"

There's a symmetrical question. Why wouldn't powerful men gather a few days a year to spend time away from the commoners who keep on having an unhealthy interest on them? These people can then let their guard down because they know they are among peers.

I'm pretty sure that extremely cynical and shameful things are said during conversations at those meetings, but I've never been a big believer in the kind of sex trafficking that Enty's blinds depict and that the phrase "secret societies" creates in the mind of some people, the almost ritualistic ceremony where children would get "sacrificed" like a blood libel sort of things, in a Satanistic temple. If you read the testimonies on Epstein, for instance, it was more of a garden-variety thing, like hiring a underage girl for a few tasks, then asking her to give a private massage to a guest, then the guest asks for more in exchange for a huge tip. It sounds more prosaic than the Eyes Wide Shut stuff but also much easier to organize, sadly.

But I have already addressed that repeatedly.

I you think it's so unhealthy, why are you here too?

I have no interest in 'trying a case' here i.e. going into great detail, there is a procedure going on that will or won't handle all of those issues.

But multiple girls and women have said otherwise.

Please don't @ me with defenses of Epstein, thanks.

I did not even mention him, besides.

Christina said...

I've lived in SF a long, long time and have heard multiple stories from different sorts of people over the years, and yes, I think there is something mighty weird/off-color going on up at that Boho Grove. I have no idea of the specifics because I heard enough to not want to hear more. Your own mileage may vary. And Epstein is a downright double agent, blackmailing spy of some sort. Does he like rub and tugs? Hell yes. Does he like providing rub and tugs for his buddies? Yep. Are his masseuses too young? Likely. Would providing this service leave him with over half a billion dollars? NO F-ING WAY. (That service will get you a storefront in Chinatown.) He didn't trade on the open market, no big institutional traders were dealing with him -- it's a small club, they all no each other. So he was not making his money via money management. He was getting large drops of money from somewhere else. Where that was exactly is what I hope we all find out...

Angela said...

@Samantha

I'm not trying to defend a piece of shit such as Epstein. His place is clearly in prison and he should have landed there 15 years ago. His arrest was overdue.

I was pointing out at the banality of evil rather than the black masses or the evil ceremonies lots of people here have in mind when they imagine a secret society of rich people who commit crimes and shameful acts. Such things are not committed by mustache twirling villains who claim they're on a mission to corrupt young girls and young boys.
This is more a matter of "I'm VERY rich, which means that I must be right. She's pretty and at the top of her looks. Sure, the girl is 15 or 16, but she's not that innocent and, hey, a few decades ago, the age gap wouldn't have shocked anybody. Besides, she's lost and confused in her life. She'll get a few thousand dollars in compensation in exchange for a few minutes with an older man, and that will allow her then to sort a few things out. Hey, actually, I'm making HER a favor." That type of bullshit.
So, to make it short, I just believe that hypocrisy, entitlement and indifference are responsible for more of these crimes than a clear collective agenda to destroy innocence, implemented at some secret society. Some people will do it simply because they assume common rules don't apply to them.
It's like shooting a gun at an endangered species during a safari. People who do this don't regard this as a big deal that will carry some consequences, as it's just one animal, nothing more. They just focus on the thrill of an experience few people can afford to have. Doing this next to dozens of other wealthy people would dilute the feeling of exclusivity.

"Some names are missing, and some were illegible because of the photos taken. I am working on getting them this week."

Angela - So you believe evil exists but not in premeditated group efforts. I don't think it exists in only one type of way. I don't find banal mundane everyday settings to be mutually exclusive from ritualized more 'exotic' ones.

How that applies specifically in this instance I couldn't say regardless. I'm speaking only to why anything mysterious, exclusive, foreign to people's experience, or 'hidden' (outsiders kept out) is alluring to many humans.

But doesn't that go without saying? The continued speculation about it kind of proves that allure.

Weirdly enough, found out last year that my father in law attended as a guest sometime in the last few years. He was invited by a family friend of theirs who I’ve met multiple times and attended our wedding. That friend and his relatives are listed with the correct group name so the list seems very legit, as no one would know of them, successful in business but certainly not names you’d come up with if making a list up. Don’t recall the details of the family’s original wealth but definitely a very successful CA family, which supports that it originally developed for the wealthy men of distinguished families in CA, then picked up celebrities and power brokers over time.

This guy and my father in law are total Uber successful silent generation, do everything proper, by the book fuddy duddys. If anything truly crazy beyond getting lit is happening, it’s not involving everyone in official activities. These two simply aren’t the types and would have told me.
