Golden Globe Winners

As you can see, there are hundreds and hundreds of photos her of all the big winners, the red carpet dresses and accidents. There is Ryan Seacrest being embarrassed again by Angelina Jolie as she mentions his 20 percent body fat and he goes to a corner to have a good cry. Hope you enjoyed all the glitz and glamor, and here are the winners. 31 minutes from start to finish is how long it took to announce the winners. Just remember that the Academy Awards has fewer awards, but takes over four hours to televise. That is a lot of fluff.

Daniel Day Lewis? please. Viggo should have gotten it.

Hugh Laurie should win any damn thing he's nominated for.

And the Coen Brothers should have won best picture.

I'm done. Happy Monday!

I'm just happy Tina Fey won. Did anyone else watch live?

I opted for Larry "Kneepads" King's coverage, since it seemed to be the only one that didn't over-talk the announcements.

Good lord that's depressingly boring. I almost always watched the Globes in the past, but now that it has just been laid bare like this for me, I have to question why I've been wasting my time. I don't think I'm putting it back on my calendar for next year. Do I really need to see a tipsy Clooney again?

But also, yay Tina Fey!!

GO TINA! Her win seriously made my night!
I was bummed Duchovny won over Alec Baldwin for "30 Rock" I'm still not over it haha.

@dnfrommn: I watched every channel that covered it because Billy Bush made me want to gouge my eyes out! Was Ben Silverman trying to torture us by getting the most obnoxious "hosts" he could find?

Brits did well...yah!

Fran, I would like to see a tipsy Clooney - in mah bedroom!

And I am developing a major "thing" for British men...

I taped the damn coverage so I could fast forward thru the stuff I didn't want to see. MY Golden Globes show was about 22 minutes long...

Tina DID deserve it, and Viggo did, too. And now they're saying the Oscar is his to lose. I hate these 'sure things'.

if there's anyone who hasn't seen MAD MEN, try to catch some episodes before the new season starts. (i think june) this show has so much style. the writing is excellent. all of the actors are incredible. you get a real look at life in the 60's. watch a time long gone without political correctness and very few product warnings.

Mad Men's season 1 is going to have an encore beginning later this month, go to the AMC website for details. It's an excellent show, worthy of the awards it took home last night. Oh, and Jon Hamm is hot sex on legs. He's also a fantastic actor.

Jon Hamm IS hot sex on legs. I'm thrilled he's finally starting to get the recognition he deserves.

I'll def. agree on Mad Men - one of the most original shows I've seen on TV since Arrested Development - excellent acting/story line development.

And thank gawd Angelina Jolie didn't win...maybe she'll take it as a hint and actually take the year off for her kids.

Love the shows that actually have great writing and are a little different than the norm. Mad Men is one of them. Watch for Jon Hamm alone. Love House, Life (Damian Lewis is the best actor I have EVER seen), Nip/Tuck (great trashy porn-like soap opera - its like like eating pure sugar)...Damages (Glenn Close is nasty and yet you feel for her). God - any others?

anyone else want to get in on a Billy Bush ass kicking?

wtf is that shrimp to sit and rag on the winners as they were announced? dude just cuz your last name is Bush and you got into tv cuz of Uncle Dubya..does not make you a movie critic.

stick to what you know best..nothing.

captivagrl said...

mngddess - i also enjoy The Riches,Weeds, and Dirt. i'm a little on the fence with Dirt, we'll see with season 2.

Judi said...

I hate him but know nothing about him - except that he's an ass. Jax, is Billy related to Dubya?
You're right: Hosts are hosts and know bleep-all about product. I'm VERY happy Tina won but most happy that Johnny and Marion won.

I'm most happy that Duchovny won. Californication is a great show and he's fabulous in it.
