Paul Ryan
Biden? MeToo movement might jump all over him.... Not sure if he ever was a true candidate previously, though.
Marco Rubio
Bernie was pretty wild. He had that college newspaper story about a lady enjoying rape from the 1970s, which one might argue was too old to matter, except that the Dems went after Mitt Romney's fraternity pranks.
Biden is too old; Bernie is too old. Romney would have been perfectly timed in 2012. I like a president aged roughly 50-70, maybe 50-75.
Ted Cruz?
Bank Fraud Bernie? I'm glad to see all this Liberal Hypocrisy coming to light.
I like the Marco Rubio guess.
It says a new generation to hear ,so it has to be someone who ran in the past .Leaves out any who ran in 2016.
The rotting festering hell bound carcass of Teddy 'a swim and cocktails afterwards' Kennedy.
Biden with the groping allegations. The smears by hillary obsessives against sanders are pretty pathetic. Currently blaming susan sarandon for mother's defeat two years ago.
John Edwards?
(Hello everyone. I’ve been reading for a few months, this is my first post. )
There are some legitimate issues against Bernie Sanders regarding his wife Jane and financial improprieties. And I am no Hillary obsessive, but, with that and his age, there is just no way he would win.
closeted marco rubio
+1 glasslass
Marco Rubio, I'm guessing.
So many possibilities, but I'm guessing it's supposed to be Bernie. The cabal cheated him out of a fair fight for the nomination, and then made him smile and give his endorsement, holding his and his wife's financial crimes over his head.
Rubio has the rumors of gay foam parties.
Ryan has stuff. I'm not sure what because I haven't been following that lately, but it was enough to put him on the Republicans-not-seeking-relection list that's been growing for the last year and a half.
Cruz apparently likes MILF cheating porn. Not sure that would stop him, though, and his being Cuban/Canadian might not either.
A Biden candidacy could be killed overnight with a collage of pics in a major media outlet like the NY Times, featuring his wandering eyes and hands. That would never happen once he became their candidate, but it could in the primaries. The nastiest stuff usually happens in the primaries, like Willie Horton back in the day, the Birther stuff, or Nevertrump Republicans falling for a 4chan scam in 2016.
Could even go back to someone like Gary Hart (is he still alive?), but I think "recent former candidate" means someone who ran in 2016.
Seconded, Glasslass. I think John Edwards as well.
Lincoln Chaffee
Or the clean grid guy? Whatshisface?
Romney and multiple wives, probably.
Romney, with his high flying wall street past at Bain
https://www.newyorker.com/news/news-desk/the-real-scandal-of-romney-and-bain
Bernie's alternative lifestyle would only gain him supporters, he gave govt space to a punk rock club in VT. that's pretty cool! :)
@Hi Unknown!
"Bernie the card carrying commie"
Except he isn't. But Unknown imagines he has seen this card, hee!
"Took his honeymoon in the Soviet Union"
Except he didn't. But Unknown imagines himself in the marital bed of the Sanders.
Newt?
Thank you. Sanity.
"Cruz apparently likes MILF cheating porn."
He also likes daddy-daughter incest porn. Ick.
Michael Bloomberg?
Romney and Bain. Everyone's sore right now over Toys R Us.
I'm old school - I'm thinking Gary Hart, John Edwards, Newt Gingrich.
Everyone else was vetted in the 2016 election cycle.
I like the John Edwards guess... but I'm thinking someone who has left more sore people behind. Al Gore?
Foam party Marco
Well there's always Jerry Brown. Laurel Canyon scene all that. I don't think he's finished with politics.
Edwards last ran in 2008. That over 10 years ago. Hart ran in 1988 that’s 30 years ago. I’ll buy Gingrich because that was in 2012. Recent to me means 2012/2016 campaign.
It would be good to know what "recent" actually means. I'm figuring 2016.
Since I can't imagine anyone running for the GOP nomination against Trump, it's got to be Democratic Party, which only leaves Bernie Sanders.
Unless "recent" means within the past decade. Then maybe it would mean John Edwards?
If Marco Rubio is really considering trying to run for the 2020 GOP nomination, he must be a masochist as well as closeted.
Edwards kept his legal license and is back to practicing law, which he is very good at, btw. His new firm has gone national.
Rubio has wanted to be the first Latino president for a long long time.
He tried to resign from the Senate and mysteriously did an about-face a couple years ago.
If you look through his public statements, they seem (like Romney's) to project a "stable" force inside the GOP that denounces much of Trump's manor and decorum while essentially backing everything Trump does. To wit, Rubio furiously pounded the podium about dealing with dictators when Trump went to Kim for the photo op...but then turned around and supported it. These are the duplicitous actions of someone seeking a larger role in government.
Jeb Bush?
This has to be a Democrat. Trump has already announced he's running again and for a Republican to run against a sitting President, well, it's just not done. Personally, I think Bernie is too old for another campaign and just to be different, I'm going to say Hillary because she's been bitching since the election about this, that and the other for why she lost.
Oops. It says, "he" so not Hillary.
😂😂😂😂
Not Jerry Brown. 60 Minutes did a segment on him recently and his current term as governor of CA is it for him. He is happily retiring from politics at 80.
Could be John Edwards...could be John Kerry??? On the R side, I got nothing...can't be McCain and Romney is currently in a Senate race.
I don't think former recent refers to anyone who ran in 2016.
Al Gore?
Don't bother John Edwards.
And, Unknown, go get that bar of soap and wash out your mouth.
@tinydancer61
"well, it's just not done"
The Post-Trump political world may very well be a post-decorum one, where *all* of the norms are discarded....
"But in fact, Sanders' trip to the Soviet Union was part of his official duties as mayor of Burlington, Vermont.
In 1956, President Eisenhower launched the program that a decade later would be called Sister Cities International, a program still in existence today. The idea was to promote peace and understanding through connections between cities in the United States and, at first, Western Europe. The program soon spread. In 1973, Seattle became a sister city of Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan, then under Soviet rule. Other U.S.-Soviet sister cities soon followed despite the tensions of the Cold War.
In 1988, Burlington sistered with Yaroslavl, a city 160 miles north of Moscow. That was the same year Sanders married his second wife, Jane. In fact, the day after they married, they headed out to Yaroslavl. So, one could call it a honeymoon, and the pair have both done so, but jokingly or sarcastically. The reason for that is that they didn't go alone. There were 10 other people from Burlington who went with them. It was a trip dotted with diplomacy, official meetings and numerous interviews. Not most people's idea of a honeymoon getaway."

Unknown, you are the dumb motherfucker.
+1. He’s trash but had a really progressive political platform. It’s a shame. Also, my definition of recent is the 1990s!
John Edwards. The "cost him big time before" wording is key. The big scandal already happened.
Biden or Romney..
I'm guessing a Dem, but "the lifestyle he used to live back in the day and cost him big time before" doesn't sound like Bernie. It would be nice if the DNC ran a clean candidate, but if wishes were fishes and all that.
Romney
I love it when dumb people think that they're the smart ones. Keep it up guys, this is hilarious lol
I would say Rubio except for the "new generation to hear." He hasn't been around long enough.
Tim Kaine??
John Kasich has threatened to run again. And he looks like a freak show hiding beneath that "golly gee, I'm such a goober!" veneer
John Edwards. He was actually the best qualified.
If he runs he should tell the people he would have handled his personal life differently and that he didn't pay off any strippers...
Anyone is better than Fuhrer Trump.
Gore? A "new generation to hear it". Most people who could vote in the next election would have heard of Edwards ish.
Plus wasn't he disbarred as well? Not that it matters, but it doesn't bode well for an elected official.
oh ffs with the moronic Hitler comparison. Maybe take that garbage back to that phony Christian Dion's site, where he only wants asskissers commenting.
This blind is about a man who ran for President recently. We don't know how recently. Running only for Vice President doesn't count, so it's not Ryan or Kaine.
He has been saying that he wants to run again.
Back in the day he used to live a certain lifestyle that would hurt a candidate's chances. It will "all come out again", meaning that his lifestyle was already publicized and cost him big time in a campaign. This does not necessarily mean that it cost him in his recent Presidential campaign. It might have been in an earlier campaign.
He's fairly old, which is why the re-airing of his earlier lifestyle would come to the attention of "a new generation". Which supports the possibility that the lifestyle issue cost him in a campaign long before his recent run for President.
I don't think Rubio will run against Trump, and he's too young to fit the blind.
John Edwards' scandals are still pretty recent. For him, does the word "lifestyle" really apply? Maybe there's something I don't know about. And would he actually run again?
Sanders and Biden have been making noises about running in 2020. Has either of them been hurt in a campaign due to a "lifestyle he used to live back in the day"? Not to my knowledge.
I don't know who it is, but I'm curious.
It’s gotta be Al Gore. Manbearpig was molested by him in the Cave of The Winds in Colorado! Excelsior!!!!!!!
"He honeymooned in USSR when he was mayor of that podunk town"
George Will's accusation notwithstanding, it was not a honeymoon. Bernie exchanged visits with the mayor of the sister city in Russia of his town in Vermont when he was mayor. It's a common activity of sister cities all over the world.
John kerry- he used to like the teen girls
And fast boats and was a millionaire tax dodger
"ffs with the moronic Hitler comparison"
If the shoe fits...
Promising concentration camps for immigrants and certain minorities to the wild cheers of his faithful does bear a certain likeness to Uncle Adolf.
Bernie. The rape fantasy stories.
He's too damn old, regardless.
I think most everyone already knows about Marco "foam & blow parties" Rubio, don't they?
This could be more info about his "park pickup" arrest, I guess.
John Kerry
Al Gore has no interrst in running for office these days. And if you really knew anything about him or his family history, you might think he only ran to appease his mother. Al's sister would have made a great politician, but Mama felt it wasn't a job for a girl... and someone has to carry on the family line...
Ron Paul?
I think it's John Edwards. A new generation mean that it's been awhile. He probably thinking that after Trump who would care that he had an outside baby while his wife was dying of cancer. John is still a scum bag. He paid an employee to say he was the father. We have to get back to some moral character with our candidates. John can stay where ever TF he is
The great presidents never seemed to have this "moral character" everyone speaks of. If they do, it was probably invented in the age before mass media.
Someone who is willing to work for the country and it's people, that's the only concern I have.
"I'm guessing a Dem, but "the lifestyle he used to live back in the day and cost him big time before" doesn't sound like Bernie. It would be nice if the DNC ran a clean candidate, but if wishes were fishes and all that."
Well Trump had proven that being clean no longer matters right? Openly dirty. Could be the new trend helpful to many especially the unclean of the GOP party. Newt Gingrich, gag what a thought. It must be him.
(((Bernie))).
Romney would suck a cock on live TV if it would win him the nomination again.
This is a photo after just such an occurrence, I think -
http://thehill.com/homenews/administration/308018-trump-romney-meet-at-new-york-restaurant
Actually, that photo was taken immediately after POTUS 45 revealed that Romney had been cheated and had actually won the Presidency in 2012. Voter fraud/rigged machines FTL
Ima go with Al Gore
@Do Tell Idk apparently Bernie polls very well and there are so many people obsessed with seeing him run. He has like a 90% approval rating and is the most favorably rated senator in the country, which is shocking to me. I don’t hate him or even dislike him but I don’t want to see anyone who ran in 2016 run in 2020 and I mean anyone, on either side. If I could wipe my memory all the way back to 2015 I would.
Poor Al Gore. Isthere anyone who got more screwed than Al Gore? Well than....well I won’t say it because I’ll get attacked but yea boo poor Al Gore. If only...
Lol, he’ll be making most loads of money as a lobbyist after his spinal transplant.
*boat
No way on Newt, his head his so far up Donnie Dumbfuck’s fatass he orders Uber eats up there.
The most boring man in the world? If I didn’t know the definition of milquetoast before I sure did when Tim Kaine came along. If anyone ever needs a cure for their excitement Tim Kaine is your man.
