Blind Item #8

It is inevitable that the A+ list singer and the manager to multiple A listers will end up in court. The question is, how bloody it will be for both sides. The thing is, the manager has already sold out to the dark side so probably doesn't care what comes out in court.

Taylor/Scooter Braun?

Scooter Braun?

I am SURE Braun has sold out long ago but Taylor sounds so petty. He outbid you. Get over it. It is business. Plus, I read that the her rights are now valued at $1 billion. But, I would be interested in knowing the atrocities on both sides.

Sounds like Braun will be joining Epstein in the bowels of hell. I hope it was worth it.

Whine Taylor whine

As much as I find TS unbearably annoying and corny, I feel bad for her in this situation. She doesn’t seem to be a rotten person. If she wrote her lyrics she should have at least be given the opportunity to buy her rights. I’m sure she was willing to pay more than Scooter.

When will people stop expecting pretty girls like Taylor and Kesha to live by ordinary contract laws?

The price Scott Borchetta asked of Taylor was a new album for each old album she wanted to buy back - in other words, she would ALWAYS be stuck there and never caught up. She could have put together a group to pay $300 million if he'd named that price.

Entern has mentioned many times that Tay doesnt write the lyrics to many of her songs, but since I'm not a fan, I dont know which ones she did and the ones she didnt. And many who claim to and don't get writer's credit and writer's roylties.

Swift is a fraud.

Yeah as much as I can't stand TS, I kind of understand her point in this case, if what she says is true and she didn't know her rights were for sale blah blah although she should have realized that was part of the business and should have been up on the status of something so valuable.
I will personally enjoy and embarrassment and humiliation she endures. She should have kept her mouth shut politically. She could have been the one person who stayed neutral. Now she's just another sell out.
Strange even though she knows she alienated half her fanbase, she still did it. That shows you who the powers that be are in the music/entertainment industry and how powerful they are. It's worth alienating half of your audience to keep working.

I'm not a huge fan of Tay's, but Braun has always been a dick.

Publication rights is a disgusting business. Will always be pro artist. The fact that Beatles don’t own their own songs is a sin.

Taylor is manged by her parents, Scooter is about to reap the whirlwind. She had the money to buy her master's but was never given the chance to. Now a power lesbian is going full fury using her powerful connections. Just how many mega corporations want to keep on the good side of someone who sold more records in two days than anyone else in 2019? never forget she's a ruthless business woman. Kinda respect that.

I think she went political because she knows the music thing cannot last forever and wants to get into acting like Gaga ( Cats) so she is sucking up to Hollywood now. However....her acting sucks.... but then again, money and connection gets you roles and not talent....just ask Cara Delaunibrow or her alias: "Wednesday Addams"

When is she gonna become "woke" enough to come out of the closet? Thank god she gave up the "savior of country music" shtick, too bad in her journey to wokeness she had to shit all over the little girls that brought her fame.

Aside from that - claiming she "didn't know her rights" is horseshit. she is 30 years old and has been in the music business since she was 14. Plenty of time to learn. If she isn't smart enough to have people out in her defense - before shit hits the fan - well fuck her.
If she wasn't such a bitch...but she is. She got what she deserved.

You guys I never usually respond to a lot of the comments on here but I honestly couldn’t agree with you all more. I know she was really young when this whole thing happened and she should’ve read the contract, did her research beforehand so that she knew what exactly she was getting herself into. As someone met one of her exes, she’s just as mean and nasty as they said.

TeeHee@U said...

Agree with MeticulousBee. I have refused to listen to any of her new music for her going political. Saying you for LGBT rights then lying and staying in the closet when there is no more money to be made shows that you never afraid to lie about who you are for money. Shows one's true character. It's not about being out and proud but about greed, pure and simple.

I cannot wait to see how her ticket sales go in 2020 and if parents will still shell out $100s for their daughters to go to her concerts now that she alienated half her fanbase. She waited until after her tour was over in the US to get political. If she if that conniving, she easily could have hired one of the top contract/ entertainment lawyers in the country. I just don't feel bad for her because as you mentioned, she has been in the industry and in Nashville/ LA since 14. She should have known better and if she did not, too bad. People miss out on good opportunities everyday.

TS may not be my musical cup of tea, but unlike most, she writes most of her own material. People bash her for being a strong woman...this site does depress me sometimes.

J said...

If she's a strong woman, she should respect and abide by contracts she has signed, rather than playing "poor me" when the terms of those contracts allow situations to play out in ways she doesn't like.

She wanted to but her ex label said she had to stay with them for another ten years to be capable that way to buy 1 master each year
Because she said no and left the label they sold it to scooter knowing abt the bad blood btw the both of them
I'm not even her fan and hope she will win they are too evil

J said...

And which part of that was her ex label prohibited from doing?

I doubt Taylor wants to be deposed under oath.

I saw her acting on SNL reunion when they had that Californians sketch..it was beyond bad. Hard to watch. No way is she going to be in movies unless they are animated and she doesn't have any lines.

TS is a permanent victim. Didn’t it occur to her anywhere along the way to try to renegotiate her original contract that she signed when she was 15? Daddy was also on the board of that company and is a lawyer. If she wants to be pissed at anyone, be pissed at daddy for not advising her properly.

I also think she’s pissed that Karlie got married. Should’ve come out of the closet Tay Tay.

I still believe she "went away" for those pre-Alwyn months to get off drugs, get over Kloss and get her shit together.

I think that's why she weighs so much more now (she was SO thin) which she can carry with her height. There is no such drug rumor to support this but it is my personal suspicion.

still completely lost on exactly what the situation is here

Oh, puh-leeeease. She's a whiny poser who seems to purposely get into relationships with bad-boy types just to gain material to boo-hoo about and make money off of. She plays the victim too well, and it's all for attention. She sucks.

Scooter Braun and his wife often post vacation pics on Instagram of them with Kushner and Kloss, smiling and laughing and having fun. I've often wondered whether he posts the Karlie Kloss pics to rub salt in Taylor's wounds.
