A producer last night was telling a story about a date he had with this foreign born A- list mostly television actress who was a winner/nominee last night. They had a couple of dates and everything was great. On the third or fourth date, she offered to make dinner. He went to her house and she spent the first hour sitting there sharpening kitchen knives and asking him how long he could stay. He said he ate and got out of there and then ghosted her.

Sounds like fun, maybe he thought she was Cersei Lannister or Khaleesi instead of Lady Mary. 😕
She could be testing the guy to see if he has a good sense of humor.
Isn't she the one that got skeeved out when Bandysnatch Crumbcatcher tried to get kinky with her? I'm guessing she's all talk and no action knife-wise.
I find it hard to take the word of someone who is capable of ghosting a date. Maybe she had a reason for the knives.
She might just have some OCD.

Story could also be a great exaggeration or cover for why she never went out with him again. He's the one telling the story. Friends might have asked if they were still dating since he probably bragged about it so now he needs to explain why no longer dating. Not even sure what he is trying to imply- was he afraid she was going to cut him?? Really sharpened knives for an hour?? She does have a weird vibe to her but there might be another explanation.
Maybe she was trying to freak him out so he wouldn't ask her out again.
The story is odd. That behavior could come across as cute/quirky, or as threatening, or as slightly OCD. What was his particular concern?
She would be walking the line of the hot/crazy scale. However I don't think someone would ghost someone scary, maybe more of a fade away.
I bet she was sharpening A knife so she could cut up whatever she was cooking for dinner & he's bombed it so exaggerated the story.
It is a good guilt test though, if he's done anything wrong he's got to be wondering if she knows or not. Ladies, please try this tonight or tomorrow with your man and let us know how it goes! :)

He probably said or did something that made her want to get rid of him so she did the knife sharpening thing to scare him away. I did something similar once, this guy wouldn't get lost and out of desperation I grabbed a tin of snuff my brother had left, stuck a big pinch under my lip then offered him one. He was horrified and took off and I ran into the bathroom to rinse out my mouth. Lol
Loved her on Downton, felt she deserved more Emmy nominations. End of season 2 where her and Matthew finally get together outside at night with the snow falling... sooo romantic. Excited for the movie.
