Daniel Smith Inquest Finally Ordered
A little over a year from the date Daniel Smith mysteriously died, Bahamian government officials announced an inquest into Daniel Smith's death would begin on October 30, 2008 and is expected to last several months. Over 35 witnesses are expected to be called including Howard K Stern.
No reason for the delay was given, but it is truly a shame that his death has just been pushed to the side when I feel it may be more tragic than Anna Nicole's death. In all the hoopla over who was the baby's daddy, and Larry Birkhead selling photos every month and then of course the new book by Rita Crosby, no one ever talks about Daniel.
The 20-year-old died in a hospital in Nassau on 10 September 2006, just three days after Anna Nicole had given birth to daughter Dannielynn. He was found to have a number of drugs in his bloodstream by a private autopsy but there has never been any official response to his death.
I don't think we will ever know what really happened or who is responsible. I just know that Daniel didn't really have a chance being in the situation in which he was placed, but now maybe, just maybe, his death will get the attention it deserves.

I'm glad to see they are finally looking into this.
It seems strange that Anna, J Howard Marshall's son and Daniel are all dead (all in line to inherit J Howard's money depending upon how it plays out in the courts). J Howard's son died fairly young (50's I think)...just all seems to coincidental.
