Last week I told you about that foreign born permanent A list model and how she went on a drug and booze binge for the ages after staying out of the limelight for quite some time. Apparently she thought she was having a heart attack during that binge and was rushed to the hospital. Now, she says she is going to go sober. I give that about a week or two tops.

ReplyDeleteI always thought Kate must have gone through some really bad treatment / abuse in the modelling world, with her perennial pre-pubescent body as a target, she did so many more nudes than the other super models, often full frontal, looking totally strung out in them

@TW - she was special in the 90s. Very heroin chic. I do credit with whomever was the one who first photographed her, but she returned to a Twiggy-esque body type but with a grittier edge that fit the 90s.

@T.W. and @Cee Kay - I hesitate to bring this up, but at the height of her fame in the late 90s, this was also the time when there were pro-ANA and pro-MIA websites springing up all over the place. Kate Moss fit the type and fashion magazines knew who they were selling their product too. Young girls were literally trying out eating disorders to see which one fit best. Kate Moss was one of their "go to" girls. My best friend's daughter fell into this "fad". I remember when my friend found her 15 year old daughter's scrapbook. Only it wasn't a scrapbook. It was her inspiration for not eating and filled with pictures of Angelina, Kate Moss, the troll twins, and others.
ReplyDeleteKate looks awful and was never particularly attractive she just struck during the 'heroine chic'/grunge/ano period of the 90's. When looking like a junkie was 'in'.
ReplyDeleteLoved Kate when she was in her prime. That bone structure is to die for..not crazy about her body but that face..wow. loved her style up until Doherty. I think he is so down and out that he land yatchs in the parks for cash..allegedly.
ReplyDeleteKate was gorgeous, not in her early years when she looked a little too childlike for me, but she aged so well. She still has something. If she would clean up her act, she could still work.
