ReplyDelete@thia and cheesegrater - Gaston from the live action Beauty & the Beast, and he played Vlad/Dracula in Dracula Untold.. hmmm he's also played Owen Shaw in the Fast & Furious movies.

ReplyDelete@sandybrook there's been interviews years ago where he's said he was gay or bi, then he started to get noticed more and well, gotta get the ladies attention - now he's straight, or is he??? or he refused to talk about it, so on and so forth. Kinda like Lee Pace.

ReplyDeleteHe co-starred in the recent "Alienist" on TNT, and was Gaston in the live action Beauty and the Beast.
I think the reason people aren't as familiar with him is he's not been an attention whore, probably owing to not wanting to draw attention to his sexuality.
I think it was less him going back into the closet and more his people trying to scrub any mention of him being gay from the internet at large. I know his wiki article was changed multiple times to remove, then add back references to an interview he gave about being gay while he was doing theater.

ReplyDeleteHe's been out in public for years. A co-worker showed me a google search around the time of that Dracula movie and there were both news articles and gossip articles about Luke being gay. This was what, four years ago?

ReplyDeleteI really hope he can just stay out this time. It's got to be taxing trying to hide who you are and who you love. I honestly don't think it's Luke that wants to stay in the closet. I think it's his management. They all know he's extremely good looking and that woman swoon for him (myself included) so they want to have woman thinking they have a chance with him. (Which we wouldn't even if he was straight as an arrow)
This is nonsense. Luke Evans has never been "in", and he's certainly been out and about at industry events with his (fairly long-term at this point) bf. How does this even count as a 'blind'?
