Blind Item #4

I have previously written about his unusual tastes in movies, but apparently this former A+ list mostly movie actor who is an Academy Award winner/nominee has a collection of movies featuring Japanese women being tortured and raped and rumors that one is also a snuff film. The reason it is a rumor is that the woman appears close to death in the movie and you see a man come from off screen with a samurai sword and raises it at her. As he swings it down, the film stops.

  3. Hate to be captain obvious but that's no snuff film, and if the snuff is fake, the "torture/rape" may be consensual/acting/sfx too.

Oh, Enty, these are probably just the Guinea Pig films or something similar. 80s Japanese pseudo-snuff exploitation horror. Gross, degrading and disgusting, and certainly not my cup of tea as a horror fan, but hardly real. There were a ton of these made in the 80s and 90s; legend even has it that Charlie Sheen called the FBI after watching one because he thought they were real. But, no, gross as they are, none of them are real.

  6. Such BS, real snuff films show the moment of death, that's kind of the point, they don't cut away.

I don't think the blind is Bs, Brayson, I just thinking Enty is getting confused over a legit, if underground and super transgressive, fictional film. Nic Cage has gone on record as being a big genee fan. And he's rich enough to get some of these movies, as they are out of print.

  8. They're not real? Next you'll tell me that there is no Machine Gun Girl.

And, Poppymann, the Tokyo Gore Police are not a real law enforcement agency, I'm sorry to say.

  13. It's socially acceptable to love watching people being tortured. Movies like 'Saw' or 'Hostel' made millions. So, why shouldn't this former A+ guy enjoy himself with his collection.

How disturbing does a film need to be to make Charlie Sheen report it to the authorities?

Maybe he spread that rumor himself to make himself look good.

  16. Rumor has it the rape scene in The Accused is real. Jodie Foster doesn't even remember filming the scene.

  17. I’m sure Nic Cage and Steven Seagal have many films like this in their personal collections.

  19. Article 175 will make a country get horny in some really weird-ass ways. They're innovators in the space, for better or worse, and you have to at least respect that. Additional fear is optional, but recommended.

  20. If you love seeing women brutalised, raped, tortured, murdered your hatred for all women is clear. Imagine if women loved seeing this done to men. There'd be outrage.

  21. @Walter Lily- they do- it's called "marriage".
