None of these guesses are fitting. The dad is dead. The offspring is not. If the "person" who covers for the rapist offspring is Sean Penne wouldn't it say HE is Dad and not the dead actor. Don't get it. Actor is dead... kid is rapist. WHO fits that?
No way is Luke Perry the now deceased actor/father in the blind. No way. He might be considered permanent A- list in terms of how fans feel about him, but not in more objective terms. And he would never be referred to as a movie actor when he's most know for 90210 and he was working on Riverdale when he passed. Most people could probably only name one movie he was in.
Perhaps a sign above Sunset would be helpful?
