Today's Blind Items - Good Luck With That

The general public thinks they are out there doing good and are thisclose to getting a show canceled. Nope, nope, nope. The public needs to learn the new reality of Hollywood. It is not just agents and managers that are trying by hook or crook to get sex with aspiring new talent. Nope. It is also the executives who are out in Santa Monica trying to create content for their respective streaming networks. The biggest is also the biggest problem. They have a show that has not even debuted yet but it is going to be renewed and renewed if even a couple people watch it each season. Why? First of all, the lead actress who is still very young is a close companion to one of the people who makes a lot of big decisions for the network. He is old and married and would get turned down by every woman who he wasn't paying. The thing is though, now he has a 20 something actress on his arm and in his bed. You think he wants to cancel the show? I don't think so.

Do you think the dozen executives beneath him who regularly visited the show during the casting process where hundreds of barely legal teens were brought in each week and were interested in spending time with the executives want it canceled? Nope.

Do you think the execs who stunt cast at least a dozen of their high school and college crushes for an episode or two and got pictures and pretend love want it canceled? Nope. Do you think the one exec who got to actually hook up with the former A+/A list mostly television actress from back in the day in return for casting her on her own new show wants it canceled? Nope. She was brought in for one episode and managed to get a series out of it. Do you think she wants it canceled? Maybe now that she has what she wants and it will be interesting how she responds.

Finally, this network is not exactly known for shutting everything down just because someone complains. It is a whisper in the back of a nearly deaf ear drum.
