Blind Items Revealed #18

April 2, 2019

While doing some research for an upcoming podcast episode, I had the chance to talk to someone who recently fled from this very well known cult. The person who fled is an offspring of someone I am going to call the Liaison. The Liaison acts as the middleman between the cult and The Church. In the past, I have written extensively about some of the human trafficking The Church does and how it goes about it. The problem they have encountered with their process is the sheer volume of people which need to be paid off or made aware of at least one part of the operation. Because there is a finite supply of people, they are always looking to enter new markets which requires installing an entire infrastructure of people on the payroll from the finders to workers in government offices. Also, no matter where they extended, they were always saying no to their most requested type - blonde hair and blue eyes.

From days gone by and old books and movies, everyone has heard of the white slave trade. Don't send your daughters overseas or they will be kidnapped and sold on the white slave market. Mostly a myth, it is still a big request. Previously, The Church used primarily Eastern Europeans in this role. The problem is, none of them were there voluntarily and spent most of their time trying to escape and were only compliant to their owners through drugs or beatings. Not exactly the type of relationship most of the owners were envisioning. They wanted submissive compliant teens to young adults who would spend more time pleasing and less time trying to escape or being beaten.

Because of the location of their Headquarters, The Church has always semi-shared security with this cult. It made sense and both sides agreed the more area controlled, the less chance of outsiders interfering. The cult has been hurting financially the past few years and needed a new revenue stream. They approached The Church about some smuggling and that eventually led to human trafficking. The cult had a product that was high grade, with worldwide demand. A seemingly endless supply of blonde hair blue eyed female teens and young adults. They also solved another problem, because they are complaint and submissive ad will do what they are ordered to do.

It was about this same time that suddenly the leader of the cult changed the rules. No longer would there be any new marriages which would take prospective dollars away from the cult. Now, there would be more teens and young adults available to traffic. The only question was how to get them to where they needed to be. Well, the easy part were passports because, unlike kidnapped children, no one needed to be bought off to get the passport. The second great thing is that the cult has compounds all over the US and the world and no one thinks twice when young women are sent to one of these compounds to repent. They also don't expect the young women to stay in touch or be able to communicate because they are repenting. No one will go looking for them because they don't want to disobey the cult leader. Finally, the young women are told it is a direct order of the leader, so they do what they are told and join the person who bought them, voluntarily. It is a master stroke of human trafficking and also massively profitable to the tune of low six figures per teen.

6 figures per teen? Damn. I'd need to equity loan that. Do they have any trade in value? Like if i have one from 16 to 25 can i trade her in for like 50% of the cost of fresh meat, or just sell her to a scrap yard?

If i get a discount, i wouldnt mind one that needs beating.

I spent a few months this spring in Utah, and the FLDS young women def gave off a children of the corn vibe

I find this one hard to believe, there have been so many women who escaped FLDS and blown the whistle hard and never say anything like this about them

I gotta start a religion. Could use a bigger house.

@galouise - "hard to believe" seriously?

Have you ever read Under the Banner of Heaven?

HouellebecqGurl said...

I've heard more about physical abuse.

HouellebecqGurl said...

Seriously. Between the culty old religions that rake in massive cash, (looking at you Jews and Evangelicals), but these new cults make serious bank.
Move over Jim Jones & Marshall Applewhite.

I haven't, I am going off of my personal anecdotes of folks saying physical abuse. However, they could have also meant sexual as part of the physical. I am more than open to the idea of religious cults/sexual abuse.

Horrifying

Is that book worth the read, Hunter?

I always thought something was weird about the Elizabeth Smart case.

It's plausible but not really. There was a story done recently about the number of available women vs the number of available men in the FLDS. Men get into college after their mission trip and they leave in droves, because men have the power in FLDS. Women don't have the power, have never been given any insight into being able to say no (they can't get into heaven without a super secret password given to them by their husband or father) and their job - seriously, their JOB - is just to have children and keep house. Sex trade is not an FLDS thing. Physical abuse, sexual abuse, covering up abuse (hey, this is starting to sound like another church...) but sex trafficking would be pretty limited because a "whore" would never make for a good LDS wife/daughter/mother/sister wife.

"Under the Banner of Heaven" is quite a good book.

Fundamentalist Mormons would not want to share "their women" outside the Church. They might want to recruit more women into the religion, but, whoring them out to non-Fundamentalists? Nah.

I agree about the book Krab...

Pope meeting privately with mormon representative. Biz is down since Pope's third in command had to go to prison for pedaphilia..(thanks whoever corrected me) ..his job was treasurer and chief money launderer for mafia branch of their religion.. anyway, Pope's job was to provide protection for priest pedaphiles..(he is pope in name only...just wasn't up to the responsibilities) .......Hence , money is dropping off and the reason for new found friends.Perfect business deal......religious not so much.Pope news is from the website murder by decree.

This is somewhat plausible. There haven't been any marriages in the FLDS since 2006 and the existing ones were cancelled around 2012. About the same time there were rumors about teenage girls disappearing from their families during the reshuffling of people that happened as a result of the United Order being established. Basically people worthy of being in the order were not able to live with the unworthy

1. Who is The Church? Has that been revealed yet?

2. I believe this. The women that escaped may not have been in the upper echelons. The higher you go, the more you know.

I live near the HQ in AZ/UT border. It definitely has changed a lot since WJ went to prison. But, it is still creepy AF. I always feel so depressed seeing them in town. The women and children, its fucking awful.

Its a really pretty place to visit though, don't be shy.

If you really know this type of church/cult, this reveal is nowhere near implausible. The suits want money. They train their people to be compliant. These days there is a term for it: religious or spiritual abuse. There are networks all over the country to help. People stay silent out of real fear. Hugs to the victims.

I dated a member. Weird belief systems. Don't get them started on race.

@James, they used to own the grocery store in town, called the CMC... Anyways, they sold this bottled iced tea there and cut off part of the label that had Bob Marley's face on it.
