Rest in peace Bandit.
Fun actor, enjoyed a number of his movies.
I wonder if there are some blinds about his sex life that will get revealed.
He was the answer to more than a few blinds.
RIP😥
Loved him in Boogie Nights. RIP.
Yep - he is the subject of a few pretty unsavory blinds, though.
Rest in peace, Bandit.
Enty - let the reveals begin please.
I think videos of him are preserved down in Hefner’s bunker
Damn.
It was his time.
He'll be missed. Very entertaining guy.
Both me and Sterling Archer are gutted. :(
Sterling and Malorie Archer hardest hit.
Shame he lost that land in Florida. He had built a mausoleum for himself and everything on the property. It's still there if you want to go search for it.
RIP Stroker Ace.
Smokey and the Bandit was EVERYTHING!
Nooooooooooooooooooooo! Crap, that's a shame. Smokey and the Bandit, Deliverance, Boogie Nights, brilliant.
And what a moustache!
What's grey and hairy and won't be worn this Xmas?
Burt Reynold's toupee
RIP! Deliverance is one of the greatest movies.
That's too bad :(
My favorite Burt Reynolds role was in Citizen Ruth. Underrated movie in general, but he was fantastic. Totally stepped out of his comfort zone.
I liked him in a 1978 dark comedy with Sally Field and Dom Deluise called "The End".
Go back to todays "Your Turn." This was a movie Star.
Thanks for the flicks Burt.
Artie Lange said on his podcast the rumor is a book publisher paid him for a tell all about all the Hollywood producers and directors he had to fuck to get famous and that it would be released immediately after his death to avoid lawsuits
Any truth to this, Enty???
HE HELPED SALLY FIELD STEAL THE OSCAR FROM BETTE.BETTE'S PERFORMANCE IN THE ROSE WILL NEVER BE EQUALED.DID THAT "TMJ" OR 3 OTHER LETTERS FINNALY GET HIM.HE LIVED LONGER WITH IT THAN ANYONE.
I posted in another thread as I didn't realize this was up. Anyone else remember him in Cosmo? He was such a handsome man and I loved his movies.
RIP old buddy. You were best of the generation.
Not a nice bloke in his younger, wilder years but he did mellow out in his older age. He gets my respect though for publicly saying Charlie Sheen deserves HIV. RIP Burt.
I also enjoyed him on Win, Lose or Draw with Bert Convy. Fun show.
I lived in Jupiter FL in the early 80's. He could be magnanimous and rain pain on whoever depending on how the drugs were working. I did enjoy some of his performances.
One of my favorite Hollywood personalities. RIP Bandit.
From the days when there were movie stars.....
Funny, I didn't think of him in today's Your Turn. But he's an actor i heard my late grandma and my parents talk about.
RIP Mr. Reynolds
Sweet dreams, Reynolds. Great actor, great icon.
Remember when he and Loni were all over the tabloids every week?
Had some great movies. Glad his suffering is over.
RIP Paul Crewe, one of the best movies EVAAAAHHHH!
SpiderRico,I agree. I hope it's true about the book. Burt could be a nasty SOB, and maybe for good reason. And yes,for better or worse, this is a real movie star.
R.I.P. Gorgeous man! Guess Happy Jack is next! sigh
@parissucks, sadly,I can remember when he was married to Judy Carne. And the Sally Field Gossip!
Is Alfie Wise sill alive?
I need to go watch Turd Ferguson. Burt was the man.
It's funny, because it's bigger than a regular hat.
Lol my mom had that Cosmo stashed away... not well cuz I found it.
Smokey and the Bandit was Alfred Hitchcock's favorite movie.
I agree
This .
His appearances on talk shows like Carson were legendary, and is unapologetic, straightforward persona so refreshing amongst all the phonies.
I have an anecdote or two (via my uncle who was friendly with him/ younger by 10 years or so). I’ll have to ask him to tell me one again... definitely an original
Yes, I remember the Cosmo centerfold. I was a teen and I saw it at my older sister's. It caused quite a sensation at the time.
I liked him in Gunsmoke.
Charisma is everything!
Good actor and funny Carson guest. RIP. We will miss you
he did the self-deprecating tongue-in-cheek thing as well as anyone ever has. and i don't care if he thought it was one of his biggest mistakes-i was a big fan of the cosmo spread. i first crushed on him when he was on gunsmoke. r.i.p. burt reynolds.
Always enjoyed his movies no matter how dopey. He was our generation's Dewayne Johnson.
I live in Jupiter Fl. Know a couple of people that worked for him. They all say he was a wonderful guy. He was admitted to a Palm beach gardens hospital a few weeks ago under an assumed name.
My favorite movie of his was always Hooper. Him and Jan-Michael Vincent in one movie? Me-yow.
RIP Sonny Hooper, you will always be my favorite Hollywood stuntman.
I had such a crush on him. I came across a gif of the Cosmo not long ago. RIP, Burt.
I loved Burt. He always reminded me of my dad. Super,-handsome, the "stash," and funny. RIP.
Really sad news. He was such an entertainer.
I'm surprised the news reports haven't mentioned that centerfold. It was a big deal back in the say.. meaning early 70's
I liked when he fought with Marc Summers of early 90's Nickelodeon fame on the Tonight Show
Oh, yes. I remember the magazine centerfold. My sister had a copy reserved. He was a Florida boy born and bred, btw.
Burt was soon to play George Spahn
George was born February 1889 and he died September 1974
Burt Reynolds was born in February and he died in September
Loved his movies, he will be missed.
What an Icon.
I recall trudging to the movie theater thru the snow (or rain.. whatever... we always had to walk) every weekend. We saw quite a few of Burt's films. Smokey and the Bandit. The End. Hooper.
I also remember him guest hosting Johnny Carson's show. Apparently he was very good at it, because my parents said so.
Burt and Sally Field were the "It" couple, in the late seventies.
Rest well, Bandit
Yes it was!! On another previous blind some people questioned him as an a+. Burt Reynolds Is a permanent A+. Huge star. My personal favorite was Evening Shade, loved that show.
I loved his movies. Smokey and the Bandit- corny in age of the Godfather, but I was a kid who loved dinkies. The Trans-Am with the fire chicken on the hood is a classic. Feel the same way about Swatche Watches from the '80's too.
Burt signed a multi movie deal way back when (80's?) and had the studio fund a dinner theatre in Florida as part of the deal. His theatre helped many artists, and many careers. Greatness isn't just your own performance, it's what you do for others around you!
