Ellen, naturally.
Of course, Ellen.
I find it interesting when staffers / on-air personalities of hers, whom I follow on Twitter, make a point of saying they “work in the kindest environment on Earth”. Wonder how much she holds over them to say that.
Yeesh, talk about Merry Christmas/Happy Hanukkah.
wish somebody would out ellen for the mean bitch she's always been. she's been fooling the public for WAY too long.
I had a friend who wrote for Ellen, and she left after 8 months because she said the environment was emotionally abusive,.
It's how awful she is to other women that really gets me.
She’s awful to everyone. Apparently even her guests when the cameras aren’t on. And her whole thing about forcing people to adopt dogs? I love them but do not have one because I travel too much. It’s a personal decision and it’s really none of her business whether or not her employees have pets.
Ellen is best friends with PMK! I wonder who influences whom?
Ellen is disgusting with her mean ass self.. she always looks like ugh I don't want to be bothered..
I don't like the way she does some of her guest, it's too much.. I rarely watch her or anyone else on those shows
Ellen doesn't ask her guest, she tells them beforehand what the real deal and what she wants from them
Mean Bitch
The cracks are showing. I don’t watch often but when I do you can see it’s much less sarcasm and way more mean.
I was not feeling the Michelle Obama in COSTCO thing. Michelle looked like she wanted to punch her in the face. Ellen couldn’t take that absolutely no one cared to see her.
The problem is people who have or are on successful shows assume it's because of them, and that they somehow have better ideas than anyone else. She's funny, but does anyone with a daytime job watch her on a regular basis? Advertisers know her worth to household buyers, and money talks. Oprah was a product of advertising. Martha too. But were they realy somehow more insightful or clever people than the rest of the world, or just fortunate to be in the right place, in the right time and not muck it up? They all have extensive teams behind them to make these shows last and be successful.
I think we should call it either the (Debra) Messing Malady or the (Katherine) Heigl Hubris.
Maybe this is Degeneres Derangement?
Ellen sure does seem to run Hollywood though. Will she run for President?
Oh, WTH. Alec Baldwin and his tanking talk show, just for something different.
Isn't this what every business in the US does every day?
That would explain wage stagnation.
Get your raise and severance package on the same day.
@cheesegrater SERIOUSLY? You think every business summarily dismisses good help for deserved raises? I think successful businesses are cost effective but they can also be HUMAN. Many business owners I know consider long term employees family.
@kiki, Well if they're the owners, what does that make the employees? Are you sure the ones you know weren't talking about their house employees? ;)
In the UK Ellen is on an obscure channel mid afternoon. I've caught a bit of it a few times and have found her interviews awful and uncomfortable. See only talks AT her guests for a couple minutes!
And curious do all chat show audiences act like that?!?! Are they given speed beforehand or something??? They act insane!
Ive never had anything but grea experiences with Ellen. Someone on her close team has been my friend for over 20 years. We started as proscers on a talk show in NYC together. I feel like people here hate most people. And clealy everyone has bad days. Imagine having to have a pleasing personality every minute you are around people. Posters here cant be nice for 20 minutes!
Whenever I see Ellen, or the word PETA, I think 'Hitler also loved dogs'.
@TheBPlot abusive people arent abusive to everyone 24/7 they can show different faces to different people depending on power dynamics. Just cause someone is nice to their frineds, doesnt mean they cant treat staff like garbage
@kiki71 writing is a job that is a race to the bottom. THere are tons of new starving writers every year who will work for minimum or even free. Corporations run most media, they are about numbers not heart.
