"I'm f**king Matt Damon" was nominated for Outstanding Music and Lyrics! (and 2 music editing awards) At least they have a sense of humor, who would have thought?
well dick in a box won a couple of years ago. I absolutely LOVE that it was included though. I did LOL when I saw it... Kimmel's response wasn't bad either!
nice to see Bryan Cranston get a nomination. We love Breaking Bad.
Yeah for Robot Chicken and Mad Men!
king of the hill? wtf watches that shit still? and Family Guy gets nadda? BS.
23 nominations for "John Adams"? Just because it's on HBO doesn't mean it's good. Some of the stiffest acting I have seen in a long time.
And The Wire isn't better than Boston Legal?
Congrats and best of luck to Howie.
C'mon 30 Rock!!! (fingers crossed)
Michael Emerson better win. He is brilliant as Ben.
NPH!!!!
Ugh, Robin Williams got a nom? He wasn't too bad in the role, but still...
Ryan Seacrest? Really? Can't Nigel pull some strings and switch his name out for Cat Deeley?
Creature Comforts - pure love. Ditto for Imaginationland.
Uh oh, Jax, I guess we're not soul sisters. I hate, hate, hate Family Guy. Did I mention that I hate it?
I hope Holly Hunter wins for SAVING GRACE. She is incredible!
Who do I have to threaten so Hugh Laurie wins an Emmy? That last episode had me BAWLING, not crying, mind you.
And who the hell watches Boston Legal? No one I know.
And Family Guy is piss funny. Though they have to get off the "sister is ugly" insults, which are old and tired, and get back to Stewie trying to kill his mom, which is hilarious.
Would someone please explain the love for something as infantile and idiotic as "Two and A Half Men". Are all the voters ex-hookers that have been the beneficiary of Charlie's largese over the years?
The only thing that redeems this from the wastebin is knowing that someone else loves Kristen Chenoweth and Michael Emerson nearly as much as I do.
Stephen Dillane as Thomas Jefferson in John Adams. Mmm mmm mmm.
God I'm a dork.
@mngddess: I cried at the last episode of House, too. I love House and I hope that episode signals a return to better material. Can someone please explain to me why Chase and Cameron (and even Foreman) are still characters on the show?
I am really disappointed that Mia Wasikowska from "In Treatment" (she plays Sophie, the 16-year-old gymnast) did not get nominated. She was amazing to watch.
Whoever wrote that the acting in John Adams was stiff - ditto. It was like watching paint dry.
The Wire received no nominations? Wow.
Still nothing for Mary McDonnell? Uncool.
Do you think P. Doody's freshly waxed balls are in a bunch since he didn't get nominated for "A Raisin in the Sun"?
I like that "30 Rock" got so many guest nods.
Plus 1 for each: Recognizing Dexter, Dirty Jobs, Intervention, Mad Men, Breaking Bad (I may have lost interest, but the acting is incredible), Pushing Daisies, etc.
Minus 1000 for yet again wasting time on Boston Legal and Two and Half Men (sorry Jon Cryer, I still love you) while YET AGAIN ignoring Friday Night Lights and Battlestar Galactica. Seriously people, seriously. Good thing I never had faith in the Emmys in the first place.
i'd really love to know who 'the wire' pissed off. there's no excuse for this show being completely ignored year after year, especially now after a nail biting final season.
it just makes no sense to me. i think this was the best series ever on TV and if you haven't seen it, rent it. better, BUY it. it's great, in the true meaning of the word.
