Matt LeBlanc or Matt Perry
I’d lean towards Perry. I think LeBlanc has a show right now.
Me too because Perry also did the reboot of Odd Couple (another iconic role)
Maybe one of the SNL guys in a spinoff movie. Chris Kattan perhaps.
Richard Belzer. Role of Detective John Munch, which he did on 11 different shows on 6 different networks (primarily Homicide and SVU), the only actor to accomolish that feat.
It sounds like Enty is saying he reprised the iconic character in other projects, and he doesn't do much else.
But you know, Enty grammar. *shrug*
Ahhhhhhh this is a good one.
Hasselhoff?
Tom Selleck?
Pretty much the only other character Belzer plays is himself.
Melvin, I was just going to say him.
Bit off topic, but has Ron Jeremy ever been caught up in any scandals ? Maybe complaints that he didn't get his meat out etc ?
Kelsey Grammer?
Ahhh, I see he has.... https://www.rollingstone.com/culture/features/inside-ron-jeremy-sexual-misconduct-allegations-w511844
yeah, Ron Jeremy was accused of sexual misconduct by a few women, but was cleared.
Chris Noth, Big from SATC
Matthew Fox
"despite not getting much other work" eliminates Selleck and Noth
Good one! Dr Frasier Crane was on Cheers, Frasier and made an appearances on Wings and the John Larroquette Show
Ugh it's like a list of my favorite tv actors :(
Tim Allen
Matt LeBlanc did 'Joey' and is in a British comedy I should know the name of but can't remember....he is also the presenter of Top Gear over here.
Allen, LeBlanc, Selleck, Noth and Grammar do not work because they all get other work.
Episodes, which has just finished in UK. Le Blanc was (possibly) playing himself, not Joey. I enjoyed it, great cast.
That's the one! Yep, great cast. He is doing quite well over here really.
The key phrase is "not much other work".
Could it be Jason Bateman from Arrested Development?
Jason Bateman gets plenty of work. Movies and TV.
Does some Broadway success count?
Belzer lives in France and is in really poor health.
Any day now we could hear about his passing, unfortunately, love him.
Kelsey Grammer would be my bet
Note to self: never challenge Melvin on Hollywood trivia.
Cheers. Been hard to keep up.
Jeremy piven. Or anyone from entourage, heard they are all a piece of work.
I can't find any news stories on the Googleboxes that state Belzer is sick and/or on death's door -- and that certainly didn't stop Bush senior, apparently. But if you look at Belzer's imdb page, he's *barely* done anything outside the John Munch role for a good long while now. Grammar sorta fits, but he still had Boss, Hank, Partners and The LAst Tycoon in the last few years, plus movie roles (Transformers...errr 4 or 5.) He still works pretty regularly.
Frasier was my guess +1
Jerry Seinfeld. Oy Vey!
Iconic role - Frazier is the guess IMO. Not much other work, other project could be Cheers ...
Doesn't it sound like he hasn't worked up much other than reprising the iconic role in spinoffs?
Check the IMDb -- Grammer's done a lot of work since the Frasier role, I don't think it's him.
*worked much
Someone from Beverly Hills, 90210?
I'm stuck in the snowglobe with Belzer and I'm not sure it's him.
Yes, this "vile anti-shemite" is a Det. Munch fan!
Kelsey Grammar/Frasier
Okay. This Kelsey Grammar's imdb page for acting.
https://m.imdb.com/name/nm0001288/filmotype/actor?ref_=m_nmfm_2
Ever since Frasier ended in 2004, he has played in numerous movies, TV shows and guest spots in the fourteen years since. That is hardly "barely does anything else." Quite the opposite in fact.
Contrast that to Richard Belzer's.
https://m.imdb.com/name/nm0001938/filmotype/actor?ref_=m_nmfm_1
Only one single role since 1999 that wasn't John Munch or himself. And he's played that role in 11 shows. In other words....he has barely done anything outside of reprising that one role over and over again.
Larry David
Chris Noth.
Or Chris Meloni?
~~Matt LeBlanc.
It is reported that he "Quit" Top Gear today, to 'be with friends and family'.
Uh huh.
