Age discrimination.
Fire the grandparents! They are too old to know how to entertain children.
So sad.
See ya at the unemployment office, Big Bird. Mr. Snuffaluffagus and I will save you a seat. Do us a favor and dont bring Elmo, huh? Guy gives me the creeps.
You think ageism funny? Elmo not laughing, punk! Elmo has gambling debts, drug habits and illegitimate children to support! Elmo give best years of life to crummy kids show! Elmo Shakesperean trained! Elmo have contract! Elmo sue HBO balls off! HBO rue day it fuck with Elmo. THEY NOT KNOW WHO ELMO IS, DAMMIT!?!?!
Lol oh my kind@unemployable---classic! Crack me up, dude.
*oh my god
Autism Daddy must be just shy of 50 then.
Kind bless you, Tricia.
I felt badly for them until I started watching recent episodes with my kids. They look worn out, they can't perform as well (they are well over 50, by the way), and my children weren't interested. Honestly, there was a sense of staleness to an all elderly cast, but the younger actors on the show bring liveliness.
Ageism is real and terrible, but for the sake of kids, it's good for the show to go on (and interest kids) so really, at some point, the "family" on the show should have thought more about what would make kids watch, and not that they were comfortable in their jobs and loved it. I grew up with this cast, my kids didn't, they have no attachment to them to make them want to watch.
