Josh Brolin Says He Has Never Cheated
Josh Brolin is in the October issue of Playboy. In it he says that he has never cheated on his wife, Diane Lane. He is saying this despite the photos that surfaced last year of Josh kissing his co-star Marley Shelton. "Marley is my wife's and my great friend. I'm an extremely affectionate guy... Marley and I were out together, turned around and saw there were cameras. That's it."
He goes on to say that his relationship with his wife is fantastic. He also addressed for the first time his 2004 arrest for spousal battery. To me, it seems like he is saying it was all just a misunderstanding, but then again, maybe I am reading it wrong.
"I feel rage about that. I feel I've gotten to a point where I can't explain it, defend it or compensate for it. I can't say, 'No, I'm actually a really good guy and that didn't happen.' Everybody knows what happened because it's all out there. I talked big, she said 'F**k you,' and called the cops, and somebody had to go to jail. This will be there for the rest of my life. That f**king sucks. It's been so disruptive to our lives... It kills me, man. It kills me."
He makes it sound like she could have gone to jail too. Do I think he would cheat on Diane Lane? I think he probably had a lot of explaining to do when Diane saw those pictures of him kissing Marley in a bar.

Um, Josh? It's great that you consider yourself an extremely affectionate guy, but you should know better than to be extremely affectionate in public, where you can be seen by others, with someone who is obviously, not your wife. It's called "appearances" and perceived reality becomes reality.
Ahhhhhhhhhh. It is disruptive. So sad.
I like Josh. He has transformed into a great actor playing roles not many others could/would. Back 6 years ago, he was irrelevant, while Diane was working steadily. Some resentment might have escalated, then the press made it moreso.
Diane seems to be self-sufficient and normal. She stayed, so I believe him. Hope they're happy.

Yeah, people don't usually go to jail for "talking big" unless the talk is a threat and the other person is scared. He clearly has issues. Great actor but lousy mate, Sean Penn style.

What he's saying I think is, when a person in a couple calls 911 for a domestic situation it is the law that at least ONE of the couple goes to the station no matter what happened, physical abuse or not. Just that phone call and 1 of you is shit outta luck whether it's true or not. And that is a true law.
I bet they were drinking and fought and she over reacted personally. I'd like to think he was not abusing her, I really like her alot.
@RenoBlondee - Really? I've never heard that one before...?? I thought maybe you'd just get fined or something, like if it was a false account. So did that woman that called 911 b/c McDonald's ran out of chicken nuggest really get arrested then?

@MCH....Well, that was the law when I lived in NV.....anyone else know if it is nation wide or just by state?
It is a specific law JUST for a domestic situation, so it wouldn't have any relevance for nugget lady ("nugget lady" lol)
So it was a law that only applied to if 1 person, male or female called during a fight, ONE of them is going to to the station even if there is no evidence of physical harm. Not sure on the details about jail or being arrested though as it's not happened to me thank goodness, lol. Anyone know more detail about this than my vague knowledge??????
@RenoBlondee - That just seems so crazy! I believe ya, but I wanted to know if that was the law in other areas of the US too. :)
I can tell you that's certainly not the case here in Canada. Very often, cops get called to a location, talks ensue, it gets sorted out, NO ONE goes to the station. To say that someone always goes doesn't sound right to me.
Re: the domestic violence law - that is true here in FL too. I unfortunately know a couple of people who were arrested for this exact reason.
