she has the dead eyes of a person with no soul - I hope she is never set free
ReplyDeleteThe girl is obviously a sociopath. If you read her diary entries, they are very disturbing and she was not at all bothered by what she did, rather, she was excited about how it made her feel. I understand that she has a psychiatric history, though, so I hope she gets some sort of continued treatment while in prison.
ReplyDeleteWow. I hope that poor kid's family got something from this.
ReplyDeleteJust. Wow.
And, yeah, she does have the cold, dead eyes of a shark.
she gives me the heebie geebie chills.
ReplyDeleteHorrible story. I heard about this on the news this morning and was repulsed. I also hope she never sees the light of day again.
ReplyDeleteShe should be banished to a psych ward with no possibility of getting out.
ReplyDeleteThat poor 9 year old and her family.
ReplyDeleteAnd why in hell is there a possibility of parole???
Well I hope she's equally excited to learn about what being caged up feels like.
ReplyDeleteWASTE.OF.SPACE.
I work in a notorious prison in some of their social programs and let me tell ya, there are lifers in prison I work with who commited crimes because of: socioeconomic circumstances, child abuse/neglect, rampant criminal activiity in their neighborhoods, and ultimatly, feeling tenuously on the outskirts of their community, and society in general because of their class, age and race. Some of these inmates are good men, who've learned the value of giving back and want to save the young men in their community from making the choices they made.
Not one of them commited their crime 'just cause they felt like it'.
This woman either should be placed in a mental facility if she is truly mentally disturbed and in need of that attention/monitoring OR if she's just a piece of shit (my suspicions) then through her into jail and lock the key. While I dont believe in the death penalty- some people should NOT have the privilege of being a part of the outside world.
*throw
ReplyDeleteAllll righty, then. Nice.
ReplyDeleteMaybe she needed a spanking.
(I know, VERY poor joke. I have read/heard nothing about this story until now. Sadly, I realize she might have gotten beat half to death by non-caring parents, had no parents, or abusive foster parents, or neglectful grandparents, the list goes on. Whatever happened, this child must have the lifeless soul of a stone-cold killer).
Sad.
Agree w/BigMama.
ReplyDeleteScary.
Some people can't, or don't want to be helped. We need to be assured that these people are never set loose among us again.
ReplyDeleteGood.
ReplyDeleteBye.
@Patty
ReplyDeleteThe terms of her sentence was if she pleaded guilty and confessed to the crime, then she was offered the possibility of parole.
At the very least of it is that there is no long drawn out trial with the taxpayers money and her victims family will not have to relive the horror in a court room.
She is a defective individual. I hope they do not grant her parole - ever.
god help society when she gets paroled.
ReplyDeleteI can't help but wonder if she has a prior history of animal abuse. Virtually every sociopathic killer has engaged in animal torture at some point during his or her childhood, and more often than not, it's downplayed, ignored, or barely punished.
ReplyDeleteEither way, we're a scary species.
Alyssa should have been murdered. There is no fixing that kind of cray cray.
ReplyDeleteThis is going to sound bad, but my ex that i jus left because he hit me and is a liar and a Cheater is a single dad, mom not involved (my mistake -he wanted me
ReplyDeleteTo raise his kids). Anyways the oldest boy is now 11 and has been in therapy for a year due
To some emotional abuse and possible physical (not sexual). He is a sociopath And has met all 3/3 of the macdonald triad. He was on a setting fire kick last year, he was mean to animals and also his 2 brothers one
Of whom has spina bifida and he wet the bed and decided to pee on the floor upstairs last month. I was scared of what he will become. He doesn't try in school and is very socially awkward. I never bonded w him and was even
Scared at some point. I discussed this w his therapist and I think he needs long term inpatient treatment but his doucebag dad thinks he is showing he doesn't love him if he sends him away. Yes it's a messed up situation
Alyssa's sentence was 30 years with the possibility of parole plus a second 30-year sentence, to be served consecutively. No mention of parole on the latter. I think the judge structured the sentence so that she won't be out for at least 50 years.
ReplyDeletesorry for your troubles Amy but there is no cure for sociopaths they just get smarter and craftier with age. All you can do is leave the situation and hope they move on from you and sadly to their next victim.
ReplyDeleteI hate to be the one to come off as a mad man, but I think more attention to the claim that she was taking anti-depressants. Many of these drugs have very weird side effects. All of the high school shooters were on psychotropics. The mother that killed her several kids a few years ago was on them. As, I believe, was the mother who drove her two kids into a lake and let them drown. Whenever it gets to court, the drug companies pay off and make sure a confidentiality agreement is put in place. They make millions a day on the drugs, and will make sure the golden goose is protected.
ReplyDeleteDon't know for sure, but there are other possible factors that may be hidden.
I read this wrong at first. I thought it said she killed the child because she felt like it. I re-read and it said she killed the child because she wanted to know "What it felt like."
ReplyDeleteChrist, how empty does your life have to be to wonder what killing an innocent human being would feel like!?
squish her like a bug. some people just shouldn't be breathing air on this earth. she's one of them.
ReplyDeleteI went to school with her sister... When I heard about this case the first time, I just thought "Well, that's not surprising."
ReplyDeleteWhat can I say? That whole town should be razed.
Thanks timebob. That's exactly what I did although the boys still talk to my mom if anything does happen it will be sad but I feel I've done everything in my power to stop it
ReplyDeleteI feel bad for her. She will never understand how much her actions hurt so many people. She'll never know the value of a human life. Mental illness is a sad and terrible thing. I'm sure her parents are devastated.
ReplyDeleteI hope the parents of that sweet-looking 9-year old girl are able to get some closure one day, though I don't know that it's possible with something as horrific and senseless as this.
I have to say, that growing up, there was a kid in the neighborhood who was considered a horror. My daughter was a little older than her, but at her birthday parties, he'd sit in the corner and sulk. He seemed really disturbed, and his grandparents enabled him - his mom was so into drugs that she really wasn't "there" for him.
ReplyDeleteYears later, I was shocked, but not all that surprised to learn that he took a stick and beat his friend to death. Just because he wanted to know what it felt like. The kid who was killed had already gone through hell, and was just recovering from a debilitating car accident. People tell me there's a god, but I have to say there isn't. Not when stuff like this is allowed to happen to innocent people.
bring back the guillotine.
ReplyDeleteHow horrible for BOTH families of these children.
ReplyDeleteI have a cousin whose birth mother was a drunk. He has had all sorts of emotional problems. When we were very little, he had jumped from his second story balcony & purposefully broke his arm to make a point to his parents. When we were teens, he tried to convince me to burn the forest down with him & had admitted to me that he liked torturing animals.
My dads, brother & his wife, adopted my cousin when he was a baby and couldn't have been better parents. Unfortunately he had serious mental problems and was just a child/teen and possibly adult that had/has no business being unsupervised in society.
I agree that her sentence was probably structured so that the parole possibility is on the back-end and won't come before a review board for 50 years. I imagine the possibility was granted bc of her age at the time of the crime but I haven't follow this case at all.
ReplyDeleteHave to agree, killing someone for thrills or to see what it feels like, is truly disturbing and totally sociopathic.
@Amy in MI not a shrink but it sounds like the best thing you can do for yourself is to get away as far away from this situation as possible and know that it isn't your fault
@just joe- i think you may be onto something here, but I disagree w you a bit. I definitely think there is an issue with antidepressants and children-- that is why they have stopped prescribing so many to children under 18, their brain chemistry is not the same as an adult and it can produce violent, suicidal, unusual behavior. But I have to disagree w you about the mother who killed her kids (if you are referring to the one in TX w 4 kids)-- she actually had come off of her meds against doctors advice to get pregnant her last child, so it wasn't the drugs that were the problem but rather the lack of them because of her very serious psychological disorder.
