Today's Blind Items - Academy Award Winning Woman Beater And Date Raper
It seems recently that actresses have been the mean and nasty ones in the blind items. Let me tell you about this man who is an Academy Award winner. No fussing or messing about determining whether he is a nominee or winner. He is a winner. He is also alive and not that old. I would say that most of you would have dated him until you read about him right here. A boozer of epic proportions, he is apparently generally a nice guy until he gets some booze in him. Over the years he has destroyed not only his share of marriages, but also put dates into the hospital and paid off hundreds of thousands of dollars to keep himself out of the spotlight.
Back in the day he was friends with this foreign born actress. She is an A lister too as much as it pains me to say it. They would always hang out and would always be spotted together doing promotional work together. Then one day they went out and he got drunk and she got tipsy and he sexually assaulted her. She had been recently divorced and he had been in and out of the news. They had been spotted together several times and things were going well until then. They have never spoken since. Not once.
One time he broke up a celebrity marriage. That relationship crashed and burned quickly because he would drink and regularly beat the B list movie actress. She had to cancel a publicity tour for a movie because our actor beat her so bad.
He has gone to rehab numerous times and producers have threatened him with banning him from giving him big roles but he is just too good of an actor and too big of a star to keep him away. Producers and studios will take him regardless of his issues. In his current relationship, he poses with his significant other when he has something important. He has to pay her. She has long ago given up on anything pretending to be normal. He has beaten her. One of their kids came when he forced her to have sex. She hates him too, but is willing to swallow her pride for the money.
He once tried to sexually assault another Academy award winning actress. She managed to beat him off and kicked him in the balls. She then told her husband who continued the beating. They had to stop shooting on the movie for a week to allow him to recover. The crazy thing is the guy who beat up our woman beater still worked with him again even after he had tried to rape his wife. How messed up is that?

First, Enty likes to "fudge the details" to keep from making too obvious. With that in mind, I am going with Sean Penn. Back in the day "Madonna era" he was very talented and sexy. My generation would not have turned down a date. As far as the "current" girlfriend....isn't he seen with several women. Who is to say this isn't the detail Enty "fudged" to make it less obvious. Maybe he is paying for dates in public.

As one of the newer commenters, it is kind of hurtful to see that some of the regulars don't like the newbie influx. I have honestly read this site since AGC posted a blind item from enty years ago. I didn't read all the time, but became a regular reader after the Timmy/shimmy reveal.
I have never been a big-time poster and ignored the majority of comments - save blind items - because I got burned out years ago. I was a little too regular...lol However, I have had a little more time on my hands recently and so here I am. The Golden Globe and Oscar nights made the shows so Much more enjoyable. Then I started reading more of the comments...
This is a great community, and more people found it due to Himmmm, but that doesn't mean they work in PR. You all should take it as a compliment. However I hate to see that regulars haven't been posting as much. You guys made this place and it is due to the regulars that I am here, not Himmmm, @ least for me. :)

I have no idea if I am one of the "newbies" in question, but I have spoken out specifically about a few "celebs."
I may speak up for Tebow, but I have known of and known the family for years. I don't take up for him just because I am a Christian. He was well-known for his practical jokes @ UF, and I wish someone would talk about that side of his personality. I hate that his Christianity is mocked on a daily basis. You don't hear him preaching and condemning others on a daily basis, so why is he being singled out? He hasn't Tebowed on a field in months. :)
I also spoke up for Dennis Quaid, because I was seriously shocked to see him getting a divorce. He gave off the impression to everyone who encountered him this past summer, that he was a happy family guy. We aren't talking about seeing the man once or twice, I saw him on an almost a daily basis. He encountered plenty of pretty women and acted like a gentleman - so yeah, it was kind of freaky. Now that this news has broken, you still don't hear of people saying that they saw him cheating - they have been as shocked as I was...
I honestly would love for someone to tell me why Affleck became the guess to so many blind items. During that time period I was hardly on the pc. I have always wanted to ask, but I felt like an idiot for not knowing...
So, my apologies for the long post, but know that some of us are truly here for the juicy blinds and spot-on guesses! It is no fun to go to a cruel site, and it is even less fun to go to a site where the posters have no clue how to decipher a blind! Due to the wording of the blind, I didn't think it could possibly be Russell Crowe - but the rest of the clues surely do fit!! Great sleuthing, once again!!
It is totally Crowe/Ryan/Connelly/Bettany, but not Kidman. Enty would have mentioned her Academy Award too since he mentioned his and Connolly's.
Plus, Kidman hasn't shunned him, I don't believe. He was supposed to have starred in "Australia" with her, but pissed off Baz Luhrman and got fired. Nicole publicly expressed her disappointment that her "friend" wouldn't be making the movie with her.
He dated Jodie Foster (yes, I know) in 1999, but she isn't foreign born and I don't see her drinking with him.
I think it's gotta be someone Australian, non-academy award winning.

OK Russell Crowe has dropped off the map movie wise, doesnt have clout anymore, Nic Kidman not foreign born. Further she is American HE is foriegn born. They did interview together 5 years ago, long after her divorce.He was at her wedding , gossip was Danielle hated Russell and Nicoles friendship, put an end to it. Jennifer was not married to Paul when they worked together. Back in Gladiator days Russ was hot, but none of us would have dated him in a long long time as his hot died long ago and his rep is well known as violent drunk. There are as many strikes for this NOT being Russell as it is for. having said that 2012 Aussie awards ceramony interesting body language Nic and Russell, but then again Nicole has had falling out with all her aussie friends

Snowstorm, I post for a bit, and stop...for months, and post again. I've been here since the Timmy story, and the Jamie Lee Curtis story. I hardly ever commented either, until the Mel Gibson drama.
I to sometimes feel unwelcomed, and feel as though one must comment all the time to be accepted. Which is a shame.

#3, #4, and #5 - This Academy Award winning actor. See, I actually said they won. No guessing if they won. Anyway, this Academy award winning actor who is not exactly a big pile of fun got punched in the face recently. Yep. See, it turns out that this actor made a movie with this foreign born B list actress and because our Academy actor is an a-hole, he hit on her even though she is in a serious relationship. Well, she never told her B+/A- list actor significant other about the incident until recently. What used to be a friendship between the two actors is no more, and our Academy Award actor took a beating. Glad someone did.

When Meg Ryan and Crowe were dating you could open a movie on Meg's name making her 'A' List.
On Jennifer Garner I don't think she is your abused woman. Think back to Alias she well enough trained as a stage fighter that if pressed I have no doubt she could defend herself.
I don't have an answer but I think Crowe is to obvious and doubt he really had the kind of BO draw over time the blind suggests.
Thanks Lizzie. It is always hard to be a newbie. It can be intimidating and I don't like to admit that. I am also not a suck up, but the commenters make this board what it is - well that and enty's reveals! Over the years I have sent plenty of friends to CDAN. I sometimes wonder if they have become posters...some days I might comment like crazy and other days I might just read, laugh and enjoy the conversation from a distance. Just to clear Mr. Redford, the BI says this actor is "not that old" and as much as I like to think of RR as a young man, he's OLD now.

I'm going with Russell Crowe too. There has been instances (public) where guys have gotten into fights with Russell over women and won. Eric Watson, a rich businessman and a fellow New Zealander (although Aussie can def keep Crowe) had a punch up with him a few years back in London so Paul B doing it isn't that much of a stretch.

Ok, as much as I hate this, I have heard that Tom H. abused his/a wife in the late 80's OR early 90's. Now, which of his wives, if it was an ongoing thing, idk. This is info from a family member that worked with and around T.H. at the time of the ONE instance I've heard about.

Lol. I wrote "long time lurker" in an earlier post. Thank goodness I came out of lurker-dom before "that day" as some have decided to call it. I never felt the need to comment until the day after the Oscar's whenI actually felt like I had something to contribute to the Angelina conversation (synthetic heroin). I too would like to welcome newbies and encourage those who have dropped off to come back. I have a thought for the actress who fought him off. What about Jilua Roberts, husband is camera man Danny Moder. He could definitely beat someone up and may have found himself working with them unwittingly on a future movie project, like it some one else had dropped out and was replaced after filming started.
@Scandalous Candace - I heard terrible stuff about Dennis Quaid too. I heard he was a HUGE coke head and was not coy about his cheating at all. I really doubt Russell Crowe was the catalyst of the end of that marriage.

The answer to this blind has been in the Random Photos, but I can't for the life of me remember who the couple was.
I was just looking through the photos one day, and it was an awards show or some kind of carpet event, and Enty's entry for the picture said something like he hadn't seen the woman in a long time and he wondered how much the guy had to pay her to be there. I remember even then it stood out to me as odd because while I don't remember the guy, he didn't strike me as the kind who'd have to do that.

I've read the paper tabloids for decades so I'm aware of the gossip as it first comes out and is generally accepted, rather than the blog gossip that changes so quickly or becomes more detailed as people investigate. I'm only saying it again based on what has been reported in the tabloids: Russell Crowe & Nicole Kidman always claimed to be the best of friends but until very recently were NOT pictured together for several yrs, perhaps not until his wife ceased to care & Nicole could tolerate him enough that they cld act together for Oprah.
Next is Meg Ryan who cancelled Proof of Life Tour, then Jennifer Connelly & Paul Bettany (who is actually really tall, and sometimes very built for his movie roles. The discrepancies are common misperceptions.
No one has mentioned that Russell Crowe first appeared in Hollywood as a mysterious & frequent escort of Jody Foster to events and you may notice that they too, have gone from so close (people were guessing he was donor of at least one of her children) to never being seen together now.
I wouldn't date Russell Crowe b/c he obviously burns his bridges when drunk but his appearance changes very often from haggard to handsome.
Either some people just post to throw off the guessers, or reading comprehension is not a stronghold here. Most of the guesses don't fit in any shape or form. As for the whole "would have wanted to date him" thing, people are saying they'd never want to date him, he's gross, fat, old, whatever, have never seen him up close when he's fit. Very attractive. As for Johnny Depp being hot, he's disgusting, has some of the worst grooming and bathing habits, ever. He's worse than Brad Pitt! I have a friend who works on sets, and when Depp came in to work on The Tourist, all they could talk about was his stained undies, nasty teeth, and dirty, greasy hair.
Also, the phrase "the baby came" means the woman in question went into labor due to the abuse/stress of the event. Not "she got pregnant."

@ OMAMA is BROKO, I was looking into Matt Damon too. He dated at least 2 foreign-born actresses: Minnie Driver (who is not A list) and Penelope Cruz (who is, I guess). But Minnie Driver has never been married and Penelope Cruz is still in her first marriage. And Damon is another one who I hope this isn't. He's one of my faves.
I was also looking into Christian Bale but had to get back to work and so didn't get too many details matched up.

I believe that this awful person is not someone who is known to have a bad temper. If this was really Sean Penn or Russell Crowe, would we really be surprised? I wouldn't really. Same with Christian Bale.

Also, what does "not that old" mean? I'm 30, and I'd consider Clooney (51) as being "not THAT old", but Michael Douglas (68) as way too old. I feel like Bruce Willis (57) is pushing it, so 55 and under? "not that old" is a relative thing...
Russell Crowe-Besides Nicole and Meg, the other actress would be Kim Basinger. They worked together in LA Confidential, and Alec Baldwin and Russell Crowe are in Rock of Ages. Alec and Kim may not be together any more, but I still believe it is him.
Russell Crowe came to my mind first. It fits. And to those who don't think Paul Bettany could hurt him, two things: 1) Russell wasn't so enormous back then. Go look at the film stills. And 2) Paul would've had the super strength of wrath on his side. Kind of like what lets people lift cars off kids in an emergency.
Stop picking on Colin Firth. It's not him. He has NOT been in and out of rehab, as the blind states, and he is not in the news for presumably questionable behavior as the blind hints. His old friends often work with him again. Jennifer Ehle of "Pride & Prejudice" worked with him again in "The King's Speech." I think he has more than two children. An older son from before he met Meg Tilley, a son with Meg Tilley, and a child or two with the wife he married after he and Tilley broke up.

I did a tiny bit of digging and found that Emile De Raven and Christian Bale did Public Enemies together and she was not in any of the press photos that I could find. Michael Mann was the director of that movie but I couldn't find any more movies of his that she was in though. I can't stand Christian Bale and can totally see this being him as well.. he's an entitled, violent little shit who, in my opinion, is not the least bit good looking.

Russell Crowe immediately came to mind when I first read this. Boozing & temper well documented. Don't know about any stints in rehab. Kidman/Meg/JC&PB seem to fit. Read Aug 27, 2002 article about Crowe in a bar fight while filming in Mexico...Bettany was involved but not clear if he was helping or hurting Crowe. Limited choices here as fight mentioned in BI was over Academy Award winner. Naomi Watts never won an Oscar, so the Sean Penn/Liev/Naomi guess doesn't seem to work. Wouldn't want to date Sean anyway or Russell for that matter. Both have bad reps. But the reveal is supposed to surprise us, so this popular guess may be way off.
I, too, tried to connect Kim Basinger/Alec Baldwin. I think Russell Brand is in Rock of Ages w/ Baldwin, not Crowe, so not sure when they would have worked together again. Watching LA Confidential right now. Cringing at scenes where Crowe's temper unleashed & he talks about defending his abused mother.
Also read article his wife gave in 2011 about how loyal & trustworthy he is. If this blind is him, that fake PR makes me want to gag.
Sean Penn - rumored to have been in rehab. Horrible fights with Madonna, good track record for beating people up. Got his Oscar around the same time as Charlize Theron, a foreign born actress, won hers. And there are some items about them promoting films together and also some dating rumors awhile back. Although I can't find anything about Charlize Theron cancelling a tour. She did have a bad injury ostensibly while doing a film stunt, that held up filming. Other things about Theron are suggestive - there may have been domestic violence in her family, she's worked volunteer (UN?) against domestic violence, her Oscar movie role. People with family history are at risk for getting victimized. Another blind suggesting Liev Schrieber beat the crap out of him, and Penn and Naomi Watts have been said to be on the outs lately (ostensibly over Scarlett Johansen, but maybe not?).
But I don't know if he and Liev have worked together since that incident.

@ rastafaria, you're welcome. I think the biggest thing eliminating Penn is that the blind says that in his current relationship, he has kids with his S.O., but Penn's been divorced from Robin Wright Penn since 2010.
I want to add that I remember her from her days on Santa Barbara and she, like NK from the other BI, has had her sparkle killed by the man in her life. So sad to see.
If the A-list actress/ friend is Nicole Kidman, the blind says they haven't spoken in years. They were just together at an event in the beginning of the year, not 2 months ago... And they still look to be friends.

If it is Sean Penn (although he is not in a current relationship that produces children), could the Academy Award winning actress he assaulted be Susan Sarandon on Dead Man Walking, which was directed by her partner (not husband, but still)who would obviously be on set, and who went on to work with him in "Mystic River"? It does add up more for Russell Crowe though, with Naomi Watts being the foreigh born actress, not Kidman.
