Suge Knight Faces Life In Prison For Stealing Pap's Camera

Back in early September Suge Knight and Katt Williams were hanging out together discussing the fine art of posing for the perfect mugshot. Their reverie was interrupted by a female pap photographer. When she began taking photos, the two got nasty with her and took her camera from her. Both men were arrested yesterday. Katt was arrested while in court on an assault case and Suge was arrested in Las Vegas. Police took this seriously enough to have Vegas police make the arrest and to go through the extradition process. I know they would love to lock him up forever and with his arrest record, he is looking at 30 to life for stealing the camera. Yeah, that headline doesn't look good so prosecutors will probably make a deal and he will get some probation or have to write a check because there is no one who is going to send someone to prison for life for taking a camera. Katt will probably do the same thing. I'm shocked Katt even has time to do anything other than go to court.

He's facing 30 years because taking the camera violates a previous gun charge that he's out on parole or probation for (I can't remember which one).

Not 30 years for taking the camera.

So he has a chance to do life in prison for taking a camera but not for killing someone? Yes, I am aware it's because of the probation issue, but still.

@rolo: CA does use the 3 strikes law but the first two crimes have to be specific crimes categorized as serious and violent felonies; the third can be pretty much anything. I don't think Suge qualifies as a striker, this is just a massive probation violation

I'm not surprised they're going hard against Suge in LA! They have special Gang units monitoring him there, as well as a special federal task force. Plus he really pissed off LA officials with the Supperclub shooting and his refusal to cooperate. He's been a thorn in everyone's ass for a looooong time

This is what the LA DA's office has been waiting for. He should have been 3 strikes, 9 strikes ago. Suge always felt protected by Death Row and now he's a poor Compton dwelling guy who's still getting shot up. It's better for everyone if he goes up for life on his "3rd" strike. What the Hell is wrong with Katt Williams for being involved with this fuckery?
