OK. I read this blind three times and it still does not make sense!!
B list actress does tv and movies and is not liked by a parent. Then it jumps into some "man" getting an award who refuses to do anything if his daughter is mentioned? What does this B actress have anything to do w/ a parent who refused to discuss a daughter? I'm so confused. Why would some random parent give two hoots about an actress who isn't nice. Was the actress rude to this parent's child? or what? i'm so lost!!!
I'm realizing that one must not even need a high school diploma to work for Enty because this shit is not even legible.

I read it as the actress's father is winning an award but doesn't like her so her name isn't to be mentioned in his intro.

It could also be that he doesn't want to be overshadowed by his daughter's success and wants the award to be "all about him", not necessarily that the daughter is on the naughty list.
