This actor is not a tweener any longer but he made his fame on a tweener show and the band that went with the tweener show. Oh, and he also had a nice run on a network reality show. Anyway, at a party this week everyone was commenting on how much makeup he was wearing. He said it was for the red carpet and he wanted to look good for it but at the party with the cameras long gone he kept retouching his eyeliner and the rest of his makeup.

James Maslow, "Big Time Rush", Nickelodeon. He was at Star Magazine's Hollywood Rocks party last night, judging by the photos it looks like he could be wearing eye liner.
I'm sick of the word tweener. Where did this stupid word come from? Although it would make a good band name.
Well, they used to call 'em preteens back when I was one. Don't quite know why "tweens" replaced it, but that's the actual term (and it makes some sense). Tweeners is just stupid.
It's the demographic shorthand for kids who span be"tween" pre-teen and teenage years, so in that 11-14 age range, but is broader than it once was.
