It doesn't take place in the woods and they don't sacrifice things (probably), but this Dutch version of the gathering in the woods brought together two people who are at opposite ends of the political spectrum, but have become very good friends. One is someone who tried to become a state A++ lister a couple of times. She seems the opposite of a pro world government type person, but the litigious payment guy and her hit it off.
