Tamra Barney Says She Got Roofied
I did not watch Watch What Happens Live last night, but apparently Tamra Barney of Real Housewives - Orange County says she was at a club the other night and that she and some of her fellow OC cast mates got roofied by a fan at a club. She says that a fan walked up to her and to Peggy Tanous and gave them some drinks. The pair drank them and Tamra says that Peggy almost needed to be hospitalized and they were only saved because of Vicki. Not to take any druggings lightly, but this almost sounds like Vicki wanted some positive publicity and that she is not the awful person her soon to be ex has made her out to be. Also, how come they did not report this to the police? Why wait until Andy's show to discuss it? I am skeptical.

This is a VERY serious crime and if they are accusing someone of it only for publicity then THEY should be charged and/or sued.
If they don't go to the police they can't be charged with filing a false report, but I wonder if the bar could sue for damages by them claiming it's an unsafe place to drink at?
If this was being filmed, this chick is lying. I was in Hobo when they were filming HW of NJ last month. There were so many cameras and people around that even though we were standing right behind the cast, we couldn't talk or go near them. We were told to act as if we didn't even know they were there. There is no way that anyone was able to get near the cast. There's way too many crew people around with a cameras on them at all times. You're not even allowed to talk to the cast unless the director/producer asks you to. I highly doubt this is true, unless they weren't being filmed...then it's more likely. Still...what celeb takes a drink from a stranger?
I think Vicki is trying to act like an adult with class to balance out the childishness of the other women and she's trying to bring Tamra along with her. I don't think Tamra is mature enough to do it.
I had a friend who was roofied a few years back. By the time we figured out what happened, the police would not cooperate.
I frigging hate roofies. I was roofied by a work colleague about 7 years ago and two friends are positive they were roofied by two off-duty cops just over a year ago - police took their statements but, shocker, nothing ever came of it. I'm just not sure how seriously the police take these accusations.

Isn't that one of the first things you learn as a drinker? To WATCH your drink like a hawk so you don't get roofied? Lots of stories about that and no, the police never take it seriously. Be careful out there everyone!!
I cannot believe there are adult women out there that would accept a drink from a random stranger. But maybe there is. And the men who do this should be in jail for a long time. Predators, pure and simple.
This sounds like something one of them would pull when bad pictures are getting ready to hit the net - make the excuse first, so it deflects.

Whether I was a Real Housewife or just a regular ole housewife, I wouldn't be taking any drinks from strangers.
@MCH - sadly, I was new in the biz and he was a superior and colleague of my boss. I was embarrassed and never said a word because I felt like I couldn't prove anything. That's what these assholes rely on. :(
It's hard to believe that someone would drug Tamra in order to have sex with her. Aren't there hundreds of dried out old leathery crones who would willingly have sex? Ugh, Tamra is a horror to behold. I'm shaking just looking at that photo.
I guess the takeaway is: I'm glad the OC Housewives cast is back! Team Gretchen FTW!
I feel bad about saying such harsh things about Tamra, but every time I try to delete my post, I remember how loathsome she is.
