Bob Weinstein's Wife Gets Protective Order - Fears Bodily Harm
The quiet Weinstein brother of the Harvey and Bob Weinstein (Miramax fame) brothers, Bob has always stayed in the background and let Harvey be the point person for all things publicity. Well, now it appears it is Bob's turn to be in the news and it is not a good thing. On Friday, his wife got a protection order to keep Bob away from her because she feared he would hurt her and her children. Bob says this is all because he and his family attempted to stage an intervention to help his wife's drinking problem. He even provided a statement from the interventionist and not from Bob himself. There is a whole lot of back and forth here. That is a novel way to stop an intervention if that is what was going on because it really would force people to stay away. It could also be a strategy to make her look bad and that Bob is a normal quiet guy who would not hurt anyone and this is all coming from someone with a booze problem.

So let me get this straight: Lara Flynn Boyle is hideous because she did too much plastic surgery on her face. Nicole Kidman is Granny Freeze because she uses Botox. Madonna looks ridiculous because she's trying to preserve her youth. But this woman is ugly because she *didn't* have plastic surgery? So I guess as women, we're all fucked, whether we're au naturel or nipped & tucked.
He's a really nice guy. His wife is known to be crazy and eccentric. I wouldn't be shocked if she did this as payback for an intervention gone wrong.
Long time lurker. Love this site and most commenters. Totally depressing that Kata decided to focus on someone's looks that did not give in to fear and insecurity in a feeble attempt to look younger. Regardless of whether she has a drinking problem or not I find it in poor taste to attack someone because she's not been given movie star looks.

She's not "ugly", she's just average. And frankly I give him props for having married an average-looking woman...even if they are divorcing now. That's so rare among these powerful H'wood men.

Yeah, with the Weinstein's notorious rep, I think I'll take his innocent nice act with a grain of salt and a pinch of side eye....
He's the one that handles the "schlock' movies of their company. The "Screams" and "Halloween" movies and such. He's not into the prestige pictures like Harvey is. Maybe the types of movies he specializes in says something about his temperament.
I was kind of relieved to see someone so rich with their original nose.
He may not totally be innocent, but I can totally see an addict doing whatever it takes to continue her addiction, even if it drags everyone else through the mud with her.
He's hiding his dirt by airing hers. I hope that his antics make it to the light of day!

Whilst I am against plastic surgery as a sport I wouldn't be mad at her for tweaking that schnoz a bit.
That is a very unfortunate looking woman.. While I agree- plastic surgery to look younger isn't the way to go, I'm sure some veneers and a decent haircut would be helpful
