me HULK! me have BABY!
Is she pregnant with triplets? I see 3 bumps. . .
VIP, I love you for that gif!
ahh,it's always nice to see Kathleen Turner! thanks @vip
I don't see a problem with lifting weights in a reasonable, moderate manner, appropriate to the mother's fitness level, but geez, no one wants to see all that extra flesh. It's just too much.
why is she weight lifting? i thought when you were preggers you just eat ice cream and pickles, go to your lamaze class, relish in your big lips & big boobs, give bjs to your man, and read US.
right??!!
Why not? I don't see a hint of a problem. If she likes the workout and the pregnancy isn't disturbed: Go on, lift those weights!
No. Pregnant women are incredibly fragile and shouldn't be allowed to get out of a soft, well-padded bed with side supports because, you know, they might damage the baby if they tried to live normally; and as we all know, the unborn baby is also extremely fragile and THE MOST IMPORTANT THING IN THE WORLD.
Good lord. My great-great-grandmother had a baby in a covered wagon on the prairie while they were migrating to a homestead. No doctors or pain medication or Jungle Jam Swaddle Sets anywhere nearby.
That's between her and her doctor.
I believe the common wisdom is that whatever you were doing before you are pregnant activity wise, within reason, I doubt I'd be out playing ladies rugby, you should be able to do after getting pregnant, as long as you are feeling good, the activity does not bother you though I would run it by the doctor just in case
if you were not active before getting pregnant and now freaking out about losing the baby weight later you really have to proceed with caution
I suppose that I'm just incredibly wrong that I find it funny that the picture has her with a snatch grip on the bar.
That said, as long as she's not doing ME training or anything like that, she should be fine.
I took an aerobics class once. (If you could see me, you'd laugh at that statement). The instructor was pregnant and said she couldn't do any abdominal work based the 4th month. Otherwise, she was as gung-ho as ever. But we didn't lift weights.
I found out recently that the Hulk likes anal. NSFW
If any dudes want to dress up as a believable chick for Halloween, here is a how to guide. NFSW
Don't wanna be a hater but all the pregnant "princesses" at my work have gotten drs to write them off early before their mat leave would start for issues like unable to sleep. Like that's going to improve after you have the baby??? We are office workers too not like we have physical factory work to do either. I always think of people like your great great grandmother and wonder how'd they do it?
Your LIPS get bigger when you're pregnant?! What what?!
Well I wouldnt. Most likely baby will be fine but if not she will have to live with results. I think she may b addicted to exercise tho.
i think she needs to rethink her workout attire
My doctor told me light upper body only. He didn't recommend core or lower body. IDK if that's true, but that's been 10 years ago now.
up to her and her dr
I believe she proves most doctors are FOS.
The writer of the criticizing article also said: "While you're short of breath your baby is being deprived of oxygen - something you would wish to avoid at all costs."
No heavy breathing, pregnant ladies!
If you are used to doing that kind of exercise its probably fine, if you run a lot out or work out you'll be able to carry on at the same level for a while at least. She's not smoking, eating macdonals or taking drugs, give her break.
I heard a doctor once say its called 'labour' for a reason, you need to be fit and healthy for it.
I can't see a problem with it, women carry babies, they don't need to be babied!
I'll add to those who say she should consult her doctor and go by their advice.
I feel like weighing in on this since I'm about to give birth to my second kid in a few weeks. She's not hurting herself or the baby. Her OB has cleared her so it's strictly her business. Glad to see she's not drinking Big Gulps and eating McD's fries while watching daytime TV using pregnancy as an excuse.
Also, AKM, yes, your lips do get bigger during pregnancy! Mine are definitely bigger right now, and I'll be super sad when they go away after I have this baby :)
Eh, considering how many people in crossfit have bad form and rep to failure/puke (thus pukey the clown as their embraced mascot) it wouldn't be my first choice.
Her overhead squat freaked me out more for a balance issue than anything.
But her body, her choice.
@Count, I use "super glue" every week doing my nails. Unless that was a gel formula, it would run right down that fake crease and seal his ass shut. Though maybe that's in panel 6. Impressive tuck game, though. You've got to want it.
As far as the weightlifting lady, I wonder if things she experiences during exercise are experienced by the fetus? An increased heart rate, blood flow, endorphins? Maybe the same thing happens during pregnant sex? Just speculating, I don't know.
It's her life and her business.
Omg yes! U love serial mom!!! Well anything John Waters really
VIP will you marry me? We can solve blinds together and set the world on FIRE
*I love serial mom... Yeesh
Every pregnancy is different..so I dont think people should judge if someone is working out or lying on their ass during the whole pregnancy..
Every pregnancy is different..so I dont think people should judge if someone is working out or lying on their ass during the whole pregnancy..
Nothing to do with pregnancy but does anyone remember that lifter who squatted heavy weights and his anus prolapsed?? That's enough right there to make me never lift :)
bflogurl....OH NO I had almost forgotten!!!
Fuck judgmental people. She's probably worked herself into good enough shape in-between pregnancies to handle it.
Ha ha ha Count! Green peen & manginas! Bless!
Women used to scrub floors on their hands and knees, and continued with as much physical activity as their pregnancy would allow. Apparently women now are so sedentary and spend more time resting than working, that the labour's aren't as easy due to the babies not being positioned etc. I have no idea. I'll find out when it's my turn I guess.
Proposal gone wrong.
That's an interesting hobby you have there
Oh, Rach. A woman on her hands and knees scrubbing is almost as hot as a woman using a mop. Rope, not sponge, and if a woman tries using a Swiffer, that is a deal breaker.
She doesnt look that ripped, but stiiiilll.....maybe she shouldnt push and lift tooo hard? Why chance it?
