This permanent A list legend still lives on after his death. His face is everywhere. Anyway, he was married forever and kept his bisexuality hidden from the public. One place he didn’t hide it was on movie sets. If you gave him a chance for a river scene or some scene where he could take off his clothes and get naked with fellow male actors he was the first one to do so. He also loved any after set activities that involved group nudity with other men.

I have heard this about Newman for years. He was so stinking handsome - more power to him.
You had to be there at the very start of his career to understand why he was never less than A+++. As a teen, when The Silver Chalice came out his ice blue eyes and gorgeous face was all my friends and I talked about for weeks. Our moms too. If he was bi I can only say lucky guy! His widow, a fellow Georgian, was a perfect soulmate for him. He had the perfect family and loving friends. He was a huge part of my teen and adult years. Miss him a lot.

True like Brando, Dean, ect. There is a lot of fantastic info on several old Hollywood actresses/actors. Many were bi or fully gay but hid it by necessity. It's weird how now it's by choice to keep the men manly and the women feminine. Too bad!

Don't buy it. Newman was a wannabe jock. There may be a case to be made that all jocks are closet cases, but I doubt it.
Maybe he was just a naturist. It's not like he can hang out with women naked without causing a scandal, so he did it with dudes he didn't think would hit on him or check him out. He has a nature-loving side to him.
He was bisexual. Even Brando called him out on it.
Apparently, he liked to have sex with men while filming, but once the movie was over, so was the affair.
Tom Cruise found this out the hard way. Was so brokenhearted he tried to stop being gay by joining Scientology shortly after Paul Newman ditched him.
Everyone knows Newman was gay. In fact he was arrested very early on for cruising back in the 50s.

I wont deny it could be true: so many things in old Hollywood were kept in secret, it was another era, so much pressure, so much taboos.

Funny how people get so upset with the idea of him being bisexual. The same people who say this or that current actor should come out ,it wouldn't matter. I heard these rumors when he was alive, so I wasn't surprised. It also doesn't mean he was an unfaithful husband either, anymore than a straight guy that flirts with costars is going to have an affair. Nobody seems to except the fact that some people are true bisexuals, not someone who is gay with a fake marriage.

During most of his career I didn't think he was very handsome. People were going on and on about him and I just didn't see it. Fast forward a couple of decades, yikes, the scales fell from my eyes.
Okay, now I've got a threesome fantasy with Paul Newman & Robert Redford. I could see Newman being bi but I can't see Redford that way, which is great because he would attend to me while Paul attends to him & I just lay there & gaze upon their beauty.

I think I mentioned this ...maybe...anyway,years ago we used to ski at this single lift( & couple of T Bars) private mountain called Timber Ridge w/very few people (but nice& steep)when it was crazy busy at Mt.Snow.Paul N.would also go there & it seemed like everytime I was in the chair behind him,he'd have a couple of beers & drink 'em on every lift ride up & it used to crack me up..It was actually a BYOB mountain.He was close to my dad's age & they'd commiserate about all the New Yorkers invading our beloved VT. ski mountains & the drive on Sunday eve back to CT...ahhh,good times.
