WHICH ENGAGED, hot blonde 40-something indie actress – who’ll be seen on a network show this fall – had a heated affair with a famous married director?
Now, her engagement is OFF -- and he’s getting a divorce!

The only indie actress I can think of who's starring in a network show this fall is Zooey D. -- but, of course, she is neither engaged, brunette, or fortysomething.
Has Kelly Bundy hit her forties yet? God, THAT'LL make me feel old as hell.
Anyway, after they exposed John Edwards, I feel like The Enquirer has at least a *slight* amount of validity.
Their blinds are a heck of a lot more believable than Buzzfoto's, at least. :-)
Christina Applegate will be in a new sitcom this fall but I wouldn't call her an indie actress.
Maria Bello(the blond actress in HISTORY OF VIOLENCE and THANK YOU FOR SMOKING) & Jason Reitman(director of THANK YOU FOR SMOKING& JUNO?
IMDB has Christina Applegate as 40 this year. For the director I am going for one of the Farrelly brothers.
Bingo with the Maria Bello guess.
Bello's in "Prime Suspect" (they just started showing a lot of commercials for it last night.) Yes, someone thought a Helen Mirren series needed a re-make. Oy.
I like the Mario Bello guess but was also thinking Judy Greer...not sure she would be described as "hot" though and she's not always blonde....
@Pomme -- GOOD GUESS. I'll hop on it.
@weezy -- revamping PS is pretty aggravating. I can't believe they're even doing it.
Uh. Wait. It's NBC. They're ripping off everything they can, nowadays. Never mind.
Reitman is divorcing (it's why i thought about him then her)
I think pomme got it right.
Judy Greer isn't even close to 40 yet. Bello is probably right.
You're right Erin she's only 35, I remember hearing she was recently engaged and she does indy films...Bello has got to be it.
Great guess for Bello! wow, never thought it would happen to Reitman though.
Hmm. Did Heather Graham get engaged?
Uhm, isn't Maria Bello a lesbian?
Patricia Clarkson and Ken Burns
