Rima Fakih Was Really Drunk And Apparently Still Drinking When Arrested
Former Miss USA, Rima Fakih should consider herself very lucky. When you read the arrest report from her drunk driving arrest this weekend, you realize how easily she could have killed not only herself and her passenger but also a bunch of other people. On a very crowded street she was clocked at 60 m.p.h. For those of you living in a metric world that is 100 k.p.h. She was weaving in and out of traffic and when police pulled her over they found an open bottle of champagne standing up on the floorboard right behind her seat. The arrest report says that Rima did not know it was open. Uh huh. Probably had just taken a swig of it when she got pulled over. She also told the police officer that she had not anything to drink all night despite the fact she blew a .20. Well over twice the legal limit. Oh, to top it all off the first words out of her mouth were "I'm Miss USA." Wow. Just think, Rima was actually the designated driver so the passenger must have been crazy drunk to think Rima was the sober one.

There's not a lot people are ashamed of these days, but this is definitely worthy of shame.
I am familiar with the area she got arrested in. It's a very hip, clubs everywhere type place. The fact she tried to deny she was in Michigan at the time makes it worse. I think we very Muslim family may have a day in this too.

as for her passenger, i think when you are young, and have yet to realize that bad things CAN happen to you, its difficult to tell someone you aren't getting into the car with them. not saying its smart, just saying as a 20 year old riding around w/ miss USA it would probably be easy to think "just this once".
I loathe drunk driving. It is dangerous and unnecessary. I hope this is her wake up call.

But in all seriousness, being from Michigan, I'm very disappointed in her actions and subsequent lies.
I was reading something about this yesterday...didn't she initially deny that she was arrested and say it was a "different Rima Fakih"?
If she didn't want to get arrested her first words should have been "I love having sex with men in uniform".
If I blew a .20 I'd need to be on a ventilator.
Amy, did she deny her being in the location that this happened? I don't know who she is and what happened. If she was arrested in Michigan and there is a police report the lies seem more psychotic.
The last thing Enty posted on her, either he or someone in the comments said her lawyer released a statement of apology on her behalf, but then she denied being in Michigan. Even though her lawyer had said she was.
Anyway...did she really think she was gonna get away with that lie??
