This former franchise actor is getting another shot at a lead. He doesn't want to do the beard route again though so his female publicist just calls the paps when she knows she will be out with him and gets the paps to take those pics so it looks like he has a girlfriend.

Renner's publicist is about 60 and is often mistaken for him mum.
I think Jeremy is above all the silly Hollywood silliness. He is an all-round guy who has had success in other venues outside acting. His mum, by the way, is gorgeous. I really like him and see all his films. There's something honest and real about him. He doesn't need beards. He should just live his life the way he feels is best for him. He's not an unknown actor any longer. He's proven he has the talent. He owes the world one thing-a great performance. That's all. And he delivers. Enough, already with the beard business. We don't care!

Jeremy made the biggest bearding mistake of all of the actors. I get he wanted a child,b it it was clear he didn't do a proper contract and was for all practical outed and almost lost custody. He no doubt went this route to get the superhero movies, no one cares in the serious roles.

Renner never presented himself as a family man. The media assumed he and his ex had already split before the baby was born and didn't know they were together and married until 2 years later, just before she filed for divorce. Also, he was cast in Mission Impossible, Bourne and The Avengers while he was single and after he was supposedly outed by by The National Enquirer. The baby happened after those films had all been released and the sequels were in development. He had also been hooking up with his ex for nearly a year before that, but very privately, so there are only a couple of photographs of them at events together, Renner and his business partner are very close, beyond that practically everything else written about him is a fiction.

@Karen, I remember seeing pics of him doing the family thing, very briefly, but it was out there.I don't consider him out or closeted now, I think he just wants to be private now, and with a child,he has motive to be so.

@sandybrook, that is correct, his name was in a blind where one of his fake names was supposed to be. After that everyone assumed he was gay,even his most dedicated fan girls. It would be like if Hiddles or Cumberbatch had this done today.

I just re-watched The Day The Earth Stood Still with Keanu Reeves. You might want to watch it, yourself. Why all the vitriol over comments made by pro-Renner fans? Everyone knows he's in the closet, but so are 95% of Hollywood and beyond. Enty starts out the piece by saying he doesn't want to go the beard route this time. He obviously did it under duress the first time and lived to regret it. Let he who is without sin cast the first stone. After the election on Tues. regardless of who wins, can we all just get along and consider ourselves a big, fun family? Let's stop all the nasty words towards each other. It isn't about Renner anyway, he isn't a former franchise star, his only upcoming lead role is in a gritty drama so no pressure there and his press agent is more likely to be mistaken for his mother than his gf. Renner doesn't care what anyone thinks now he has shared custody of the kid. As always it is his relationships with women he keeps private. His supposed boyfriend has always been a huge part of his life and recently he has been going everywhere with him, since he seems to have taken a sabbatical and is working as Renner's assistant. Renner, the bff and the press agent have been photographed together all over the world, on red carpets, at industry parties and sight seeing. They have posed for pictures for the press and the bff and press agent have happily posted instagram images. There is always a huge difference between the reality of Renner's behavior and what is described in the gossip columns. PS, Thanks to all those bystanders on twitter and instagram, it is also clear that he has a steady turn around of casual girlfriends and has a thing for men's clubs and female only strippers. I am not insisting that he and his bff are not a couple, but if they are things are a whole lot more interesting than just that.

I'll give you the best bit of gossip out there for free and by default the biggest reach. In the divorce papers Renner said WInters (bff) was present when his daughter was born. That has to be proof doesn't it? Yes Renner and his family all consider Winters to be a brother, but not even a brother is present at the birth of a child, so it must be proof than he is Renner's real partner. True? Well Renner was his mother's birth coach when he was still in high school and he was also present for the birth of his sister's baby, there could be more than that, but those are the ones he has talked about in interviews. So in Renner's world brothers are present for the birth of the children. There is a lot about Renner that doesn't follow standard procedure and please remember that whatever his ex claimed in the divorce not a single one of her demands was met. That is what happens when you pay for the best divorce lawyer in LA to write your pre-nup and handle the divorce - his wife screamed and threatened and got nothing other than what she had been promised. Someone like Laura Wasser can help a man through a patched up marriage designed to get him some level of custody even with the mother has a past that needs to be hidden from the press and when she is a foreign national who is out for as much money as she can get. Is it really likely that Wasser messed up a simple surrogacy agreement? I have no idea if Renner went into that marriage with any intention of trying to make it work, but he certainly protected himself as best he could.
