This B+ list mostly television actress has gone from network hit to network hit (two separate networks) and everyone seems to love her. There she was at a party this week though wandering the outskirts of it and did not try to approach anyone. When people would come up to her she would say hi and then extract herself as quickly as possible and then start lapping the crowd again. There was something obviously wrong with her but no one could put a finger on exactly what it was.

Its called being aloof and it's most successful when you are around people you don't want to be around.
Maybe she experiences social anxiety?
as someone who hates parties due to social anxiety issues I can relate to this.
I have social anxiety also but the main reason I hate parties is because I never get an invite. (insert sad sack emoticon here)
She was probably forced to go by her publicist or agent or network. And it was probably filled with no she really liked.

Maybe she has social anxiety? I have social anxiety and I can relate to this. I don't find anything bad about this though.Maybe she just didn't feel like talking.
Probably just boyfriend trouble.
