Quick Hits Part One

No, No, No, Well, OK - How many times over the past year have we all been subjected to the outright denials that George Clooney would ever return to ER? Despite all the rumors he would, George's people said he only does movies now and would never do television again. Despite all the cast members saying that felt George would be back, his people kept insisting no. Well, I guess his people really don't know anything because George is doing ER and may already be filming his episode(s) as we speak. I have never really watched ER, and honestly have maybe seen a total of about 30-40 minutes of the entire run of episodes, but I do know that if I was a fan of the show I would be excited that my favorite character was coming back, even if it were just for a few minutes of an episode. Plus, I think for him to not return would be turning his back on what made him a star. If not for ER he would probably be fighting for a spot on Dancing With The Stars as the guy who used to be on Facts Of Life.

Zsa Zsa Gabor Loses It All - According to RADAR, Zsa Zsa Gabor lost her entire fortune to Bernie Madoff. Understandably all the plastic surgeons in Hollywood were also distraught. No, actually I think she gave that up awhile ago. But, her husband, Prince Frederic did say that he and Zsa Zsa would probably have to sell off their home, cars and artwork because they need cash in which to live. Well considering they live in Bel Air and have some really great art and jewelry, I'm guessing they are not going to end up living in a 3rd floor walk up somewhere.

Never Drink And Lift - Any good drinker will tell you that it is best to not try and form of strenuous exercise after consuming a significant amount of alcohol. Feats of strength are best left to the sober celebration of Festivus and not while at a nightclub doing shots. Audrina Partridge learned this the hard way. How so? Well she and some guy were drinking and sucking face and he decided he would go all he-man on her. He lifted her up off the ground in an attempt to put her over his shoulder. At that point, the drunkenness kicked in and he dropped her right to the floor. See, now that should have been caught on film.

Poor Zsa Zsa, and with her non money having husband she better ask the Hilton's for a hand out, since her daughter is a Hilton heiress.

Drunk injuries-it happens.

And, like ENTy, have not watched more than about 30 minutes of ER throughout the entire series.

ER - I watched it for 2 seasons just after it was not cool to watch anymore (stopped probably 4 years ago?). I was always a fan of Julianna Marguiles, not so much Clooney.

Ugh, Prince Frederic is far more annoying than Zsa Zsa.

There have to be cameraphone photos of Audrina. HAVE to be. please let them see the light of day.

Dr. Ross was the best on ER. Sexy pediatrician who broke all the ladies' hearts but had a soft spot for the kids.

Ahh, I will be watching him when he comes back.

I stopped caring about ER after the mean doc got his arm chopped off by a helicopter blade. Gross. Major jump the shark moment.

I don't like that he was pressured into doing it. He came back when Juliana Marguiles (sp?) left, and I think he paid his dues to the show by doing that. Their story was nice and wrapped up, and he shouldn't have had to feel bad about not wanting to do it again. Plus, ER turned into a stinking pile of crap. On the other hand, I wouldn't have watched the finale if he weren't going to be on it, so I can see why they worked so hard to get him back.

Why did all these people put so much of their money in one place? Diversifying is the first rule of investing.

Festivus! Damn you universe, WHY was that not caught on film?! And color me SHOCKED that Audrina and Justin Bobby didn't live happily ever after.

DN, Prince Frederic is a royal douche. (Pun intended.) Maybe he'll stop blowing off Kathy Hilton when she accosts him at luncheons.

I only watched ER for Luka (Goran V.) I think he's way hotter then George.

I hope Audrina Freaky Eyes hit her head on the concrete and can process decent thoughts.

No, I do not want pics of the Ceiling Eyes getting dropped on her ass... she does NOT deserve any more attention than she's already got, which she never deserved to begin with. Another talentless butterface... what happened to STARS actually earning that title by genuinely exhibiting talent? I just don't see how being a bad actor on a scripted reality show qualifies this chick to be talked about and photographed so much.

couldn't agree more. Go make your eventual sex tape and go away.

OH Lisa, totally!!!

I started watching ER because of George, and I continued watching it for Goran. Now neither of them are on it, so why am I still watching?

I watched ER for several seasons and I think the episode where George tries to save the little boy stuck in the drain was one of the best episodes I've seen on TV.

HA! I'd love to see Ceiling Eyes dropped on her ass. Over and over. And her head too.

Mooshki,

It's really easy to say "diversify," but it's something else entirely to actually have it happen. One of the big issues in the Madoff scam is that several investment brokers invested their clients' money into Madoff's plan, and some even invested all of the money with Madoff, while telling their clients that they had diversified. Why? Well, Madoff was paying off big time, and was so exclusive, that it seemed like a smart move at the time to put all the money into something that would give the biggest payoff.

I'm not saying that this is what happened to Zsa Zsa, but it isn't exactly fair to make a blanket statement like that when so many thought they were, indeed, diversified.

Yeah - the indirect investments with Madoff sank a lot of people. Also, even if they did invest directly with Madoff, they probably thought they were diversifying. Madoff's supposed investment fund was like other investment funds - comprised of shares in a lot of companies - e.g. Mutual Funds.

re: ER. Nice to know I'm not the only one who's never watched ER. I'm not even sure I have 30 minutes in over the course of the entire series. However, I still have an opinion about it (shock). I think the Clooney denial of participating in the last season was part of a PR campaign to raise awareness and get people talking. It worked. Very well, in fact.

I guess I'm just a cynic - I would never put all my money with one person or company, even if they said they were investing it widely. I've heard too many fraud stories. Hell, I have almost no $ to invest, and I still have two different retirement accounts.

What always bugged me about ER was back in the day when it was hugely popular, the previews would come on and they were full of excitement and suspense. Sure made me tune in a few times. Then I finally realized the only exciting thing about the show were the previews.

Kathy Hilton is Zsa Zsa's daughter?

BAH HAHAHAHA! I love your comment re "Ceiling Eyes" (love that, too) Lisa. Unfortunately, she will never have a decent thought. But at least it's more comedy for us!

Bet it hurt like freakin' hell. I was dropped onto a marble hearth once when a man shorter than me decided it would be a good idea to dip me. Thank God I was drunk.

I watched ER for a few seasons, but completely lost interest a looong time ago. However, Clooney's return has piqued my curiosity, and I'll probably watch the final episodes. The reason it strikes me as such a big deal is because Clooney--quite obviously--doesn't need to do TV. So, seems to me that he's doing it out of recognition/respect for the vehicle that made him a huge star, which is pretty classy, and even a little humble.

Michael Cera might want to pay attention.

Mooshki - I am sending you a big kiss on the cheek - that's exactly how I feel anout ER. First 4 seasons - phenomenal. After that, it sank like the Titanic. And I can't STAND Anthony Edwards - he was pissed when George's career took off and not him. And George was always kind to him in interviews, even though Tony was trash talking him out of the side of his mouth.

Feats of drunken strength, and maybe agility--a "your turn" topic?

drunken injuries=not near as embarrassing as sex injuries.

loved ER back in the day. doubt i will watch even with clooney back, because i loved the original cast.

juliana's wedding episode was filmed at the church that mr. bunny and i grew up in. greedy bastards.

Zsa Zsa has been bedridden and incoherent since her care accident. More likely, the money is gone because her squandering and greedy husband invested it all with Madoff.

That would be Momma's money, Magda's money, Eva's money, and divorce money.

What I think is that we are all being fooled with all the Clooney rumors. He probably said "yes" a while ago and they're making the rest up to get viewers. Gee, THAT hasn't been done before...
